The "virgin" is the pure undefiled Church...the Elect of the bridegroom...those of us set apart for our First Love, Yeshua Hamashiach!❤

Yes, both are true; the literal and the spiritual. But men and women who don't marry are much more blessed than the men and women who do marry.

@@NilsWeber-mb5hg You have said a very blasphemous thing, slandering virgins and denying the respect and glory that's due to them. You ignore what Paul says right before that, "it is good for them to remain even as I."
“Not all men can accept this statement, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by people; and there are also eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this, let him accept it.” Matthew 19
"The Lord said to the eunuchs... I will give to them in my house and within my walls an honorable place, better than sons and daughters." Isaiah 56
"One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to put a restraint on you, but to promote what is appropriate and to secure undistracted devotion to the Lord. But if anyone thinks that he is acting dishonorably toward his virgin, if she is past her youth and it ought to be so, let him do what he wishes, he is not sinning; let them marry. But the one who stands firm in his heart, if he is not under constraint, but has authority over his own will, and has decided this in his own heart, to keep his own virgin, he will do well. So then, both the one who gives his own virgin in marriage does well, and the one who does not give her in marriage will do better." 1 Corinthians 7

Those Christians who lost ought to marry. Nothing in this letter was urging every saint to be celibate. Those men who lust cannot be biblical virgins

As much as I endorse Clement, I sadly cannot support this. Unlike Barnabas, he did bring his personal opinions into his writings. Paul said that a Bishop MUST have one wife

@dannyhuskerjay This is a common misconception; Paul WAS married but ceased having sexual relations with his wife after conversion to Christianity, they lived as if they weren't married.
