Can't wait to get Doc in Classified. He is so rad!!
Doc is among some of my most anticipated Classified figures. The original was one of my earliest Joes. While he wasn't as exciting as Stalker it was nice to have another cool looking black character with great accessories. He was featured in most of my playtime as my Joes would get injured and Doc would have to patch them up. He worked miracles on the battlefield. Hopefully we get him equipped with the stretcher and possibly some other medical supplies. I'm also glad Lifeline (although a fairly popular request) didn't jump the line in front of Doc.
The only burning sensation I’m feeling is in my wallet, as the Classified line hits full throttle!
Always appreciative for the content you put out. Keeps the excitement up for the classified line.

honestly, I m surprised as to how great the 83 design has held up, the characters still shine bright in their original form.
so, of course, I want him exactly as he was.
I wanted roadblock, but never could find the 1 rst version s replica...
he had a pinch, not a beard! I passed, and will only get the one I love.
I just got scrap iron last week, and he s so much better than I imagined, he rocks!
Grunt, Firefly, Hawk are also on my list, I m getting the 82 - 83 Joe team mostly.
and I m only getting my favourite Cobra agents.
at $45 Can a pop, I will not get the 400+ characters, get real!
I m topping this collection to 50 or less, I m broke and live in a small apartment....
but... they re irresistible for me to get, I love the 80s Joes, and nothing comes close.
I keep most in boxes - package, and display a single scene of action in a lighted desk.
I change the scene once in a while, and that s my deco - fun with these figures.
I mix with legends of which I have a few.
like punisher - cap america vs cobra...
I want some indiana jones figs too, but very few.
I keep it to 3 lines, because I don t want to live in a toy store....
so now you know...

I can't wait to see what we get from Hasbro when it comes to Doc. Hoping he has lots of medical equipments accessories even if that would mean that he will be pushed into the Deluxe Boxed figure

I was never sure what the flare launcher was as a kid, despite it even coming with the Z-Force medic a few years before.
Is that what that thing was? As a Paramedic in the 80’s I always assumed it was some attempt at a super tech Thumper (a gadget common in the 80’s and long since out of favor) or failing that it was yet another 80’s toy designer slipping in fetish gear of some sort. (Don’t look at me that way. Just look at the He-Man line).
You missed that Doc made an appearance in the Sgt. Savage single VHS cartoon episode.

Unless Hasbro wants to kick out all new female tooling I think the safe bet is for classic Doc. Other than Head Sculpt and Helmet Doc can be done easily using common parts they already have. (Don't look at me like that. They are a "Uniformed" Service. It's kinda expected). He's literally just Spirit or Dusty's Torso, Breaker or Duke's Arms and Shore Leave... I mean Shipwreck's Legs. Bam! You got Doc! Toss on some Thigh Pouches and Web Gear. Give him a Medical Backpack and you're there save accessories.
I mean in theory they could probably do Doc 2 as a full Lady J repaint with a new head.

Didn't know about stalker being a medic. Oddly enough I was going to use stalkers head as doc. I'd love to see him as an updated figure same with lifeline, and I really want a not ridiculous cobra medic possibly a viper.
I suppose I wouldn't cry to hard if Doc was a Carded Retro release and Femdoc was mainline, but releasing femdoc first without telling anyone what they plan to do with legacy Doc would cause an un-needed drama.
So perhaps just do ordinary doc in a box and don't bother with the retro carded one. The female one they can add much later.
I am pleased to say the Gi Joe Fandom didn't seem to swallow the New Comics as enthusiastically as Transformers fans did, so the vast majority of potential customers would be left simply confused by their being two docs.
Oh and I'd like him in neutral tan so he can pall around with Dusty.
For me, Doc was never a "medic". He was more the Joe physician at the base, since he was an actual MD. Lifeline was the field medic, as he was trained as an EMS.
Classic Doc is an easy kitbash with the arts they already have, then drop some new accessories: stretcher (that works with the HasLab Dragon fly), flare gun, medical kit, homemade still. Oh wait, that's a different army doctor.
Like how Scrap-Iron came with flames I think it would be cool if Doc came with blood stained bandages and bullet holes that can be put onto wounded GI Joes but that's probably a pipe dream

Should have been a female character. IIRC, there was a second Doc, and she was his sister, or daughter... It's been awhile, so It's hazy to a booze addled mind.
Doc died in the Battle of Cobra Island.
