- In this video, my good buddy Tim Duke and I are fishing some CRYSTAL CLEAR WATER for the BIGGEST SUNFISH I HAVE EVER SEEN! Using 4 lb line and live worms, we hook into a few solid fish before I spot a true giant in the deep water....

The first fish I caught in my life at 5 was a 2lb redear on a zebco 202 41 years ago. Still have the rod and reel today.

My first fishing trip was 37 years ago today. Pop would only let me use the Bream Buster pole since I had just turned 3, but I still remember catching our dinner for that night. Didn't set any records, but here all these years later I still took off on my birthday to fishing. And I can say, I'm stoked to eat another fresh bream dinner to celebrate a few decades of angling.
Your father must have been proud and a bit upset about it lol

I can agree with ty catching epic fish but....only in 10% of his videos....all the rest say "monster fish" or "epic fish" and they are all fish the size my kids and I catch messing around....
Edit: I enjoy the hell outta watching big fish caught but...this channel is really throwing me for a loop. 90% of the titles say "Monster" or "Giant" yet maybe 10% of the videos are actually Monster or giant

Wow!! What a blessing to share with your dad(and all of us) my dad was my hero he taught me how to hunt and fish and how to skin clean and prepare everything we caught...He passed away 2 years ago

Awesome video man. First fish I ever caught was a Sunfish I was like 4 years old fishing off my uncles dock with a stick with some line tied to the end with a hook and worm. Saw a Sunfish swimming around on bottom dropped my line down to him and WAMMO and he was actually huge not as big as yours but big! One of my favorite childhood memories everybody was shocked nobody expected me to catch anything they just took a branch and tied a line to it to keep me occupied while they fished. Thanks for bringing back some great childhood memories!

Howzit Ty , I,m from New Zealand and I love watching what you guys can catch in your creeks and rivers , because here in New Zealand when you put a line in fresh water here the only thing you catch is trout and that's it unless you head down to the South Island you can get salmon maybe . Would love to come over there and catch multi species out of a lake , creek or river , don't get me wrong when you get a 16 pound trout on 10 pound line it is a buzz . I too am thankful for your family videos as I am recovering from Achilles Tendon and foot reconstruction surgery which has kept me locked up all summer. I feel sure that I won’t be walking until later in the fall, so keep it up!
I would like a speculation on the weight of that puppy for this 73 year old fisherman. I have seen 1 close to that side, but it was sick with a fungus or algae. From my quick look, I would say 2-3/4 lbs?
