When I hear people tell me they think the Diligence sucks, I just hear they can't aim. The absolute lowest I'd give it is B. (Edit: I exclusively play 7+ since so many people want to know.)

But it’s not made to kill large consistent groups. I find it works best against bots. Specifically at range, the way a DMR is supposed to be 😂
The dominator is awesome against bots, this list sucks. And the incendiary breaker will wreck a horde of bugs when you mag dump it. Stand next to a bug breach and clear the whole thing.
@Bloodbain88 heck with the new fire buffs it can clear out trooper squads no problem too. Fire dot also bypasses armor. Regular troops have little health and rely on their small bodies to avoid hits, so a single fire spark hitting one melts asap. It's amazing for light bot squads and jet troopers
I’ve started running a DMR load out and have been doing well and it’s fun to play. So many players do run and gun, it’s nice to cover from the high ground.
Use it vs bugs as a fire weapon not a lead dispenser. You wanna slow fire it and let it burn or rapid dump it for huge fire dmg. It’s actually very strong, it’s just not a gun you wanna hold back with. Mag dump it into a crowd of bugs like rain, aim a bit high with it.
Also a bug right now where the host is the only one who can deal incendiary damage while the others cannot. That may be the reason why it doesn’t hit as hard for you, while for others it does
That’s because you’re using it as a regular shotgun when you’re not thinking about taking out hordes with it it’s a fire based weapon good for horde clearing
Tbh I only run this shotgun when running terminid missions. It's good for standing your ground and just mag dumping them, decent crowd control although its mainly used as a secondary to me.
All I want for the counter diligence sniper is medium armor piercing and it would definitely be my go to bot gun. The others can run close mid range combat while I could be mister long range assassin boi

Or will you lean out of cover, fire 1-2 well-aimed shots from the DMR and take cover back so as not to be shot? Naturally, in close combat the DMRs are not so versatile - but bots mostly shoot rather than go into close combat - additional weapons are enough for berserkers and rare melee fighters. And if you get into a shootout with bots in an open field, then in any case you are doing something wrong. In general, in my opinion, the DMR is greatly underestimated - the counter-sniper version one-shots all the devastators in the head and causes serious damage to vulnerable spots. They even one-shot the same strider drivers in the body. It's just that DMR is much more demanding of the player. For heavily armored targets, in any case, you will have to use either heavy weapons or stratagems.

The dominator is the only consistent primary with medium armor penetration. Also, the fact that it's explosive, it completely negates the damage stoppage of bile sacks. If you're not accurate just say so 😅
@@IBsquints It lacks the raw damage and explosive tag that Dominator has to completely dominate the bots. 300 damage is nothing to sneeze at and it will delete devastators and berserkers with 1 well placed headshot or 2-3 hipshots while still threatening the little walkers and the rest of the bot line up. The diligence is light armor pen which means it can't do any of that and the counter sniper only now got medium armor pen but still has all the downsides it originally had...but hey, at least it can penetrate light medium armor targets.

The best part is everyone thinks the breakers a piece of shit now It has like two less ammo and just a little FYI secret tip If you ADS the weapon it has zero recoil I will repeat ADS the weapon zero recoil. It's still blows through vile spewers on the highest difficulty compared to other weapons that can't shoot through their armored heads. Like the sickle.. Don't get me wrong I'm not using the weapon because I hate shotguns and almost every video game. I like assault rifles that's just my go-to in any game. But the breaker is still damn fucking good and does more damage than the sickle, The sickle just has infinite ammo But can't do the damage the breaker does. Sickle does shred bile spitters idk about pure dps but it just a beam of death (on PC at least) don't trust the game stats about armour, I wouldn't recommend this in the slightest just cool to know, sickle can pen charger armour (weak spot not strip) with enough focused fire think it's because it's heat and doesn't bounce so does sooommmeeee damage
Most tier list I've seen are more bug biased so OP is not entirely incorrect with his comment, but besides that as someone who has fought on both sides with a variety of primary weapons all of them have advantages and disadvantages for both factions like an example of that is the breaker incendiary is way better for bugs but not as effective on bots and the diligence sniper and counter sniper are better for bots and less effective against bugs. It just depends on the faction and situation
The Diligence was near to useless for me, too. Than i heared a Lvl 50 is still useing it. In his opinion it is one of the best weapons. You have to select the right scope/distance. I tried this, than the useless Diligence became useful to me. The right scope is the question of giving headshots or not.
Try this build; scythe, laser guard dog, laser cannon. This build is actually pretty solid against the robots. Just make sure you aim for the head always
No way the SMG is in A tier😅 the PLASMA is inconsistent? Have you seen the Blitzer arc to the ground or the robots BEHIND you yet? ( backwards through the barrel?)
I honestly think the smg should be a little higher. It does so much right. The only complaint I have about it is that I wish I had a little more ammo in the clips. Like 50% more. Then it would be perfect.
@@misterchoc2893 I run shield gen so I really can’t run 2 backpacks. I mean I usually find enough ammo just on the ground but I just want a bigger mag size so I can shoot for longer before reloading.
@@OscarGreenworth You take the ammo backpack while running the grenade launcher which is a good all-rounder for both bugs and bots. AMR too, but really most things I would want to use the AMR for the Autocannon does just as well if not better.
Just a small note about both the Diligence snipers, they have a small sound profile so they are handy if you decide to go stealth. Been using it solo in Helldive and if used carefully you can clear out the small enemies without triggering a bot drop as long as your targets are not in the line of sight of their comrades. Then again the Scorcher does the same thing but more power but less range.
The diligence and the counter sniper are amazing against bots. You can easily one hit the small guys from range while doing major damage with headshots
I feel like Punisher Plasma should be at least B tier. The weapon can slap both automatons and bugs if you just learn the trajectory of the projectile and the big blast radius makes it good for crowd control against clustered enemies. I love using it against the Automaton berserkers cause when theyre clustered together i can shoot at the ground and damage and hitstun like 4 or 5 at the same time. Edit: Forgot to add: You can also kill chargers with like 7 or 8 shots if you just aim at the ground below them cause the explosion aoe damages them.

Nah, Punisher Plasma is actually pretty great. I'd say at least B tier once you get used to the arching projectile since you can literally AOE staggerlock anything smaller than a hulk/charger to death with 4 shots tops, often times one shotting small units.
The smg does suck in damage but I think it really shines on bots when you hit headshots but when you get to shield guy and hulks it’s still good it’s just a pain to play against them Chainsaw guys are a “no fuck you die now” situation those things are impossible
what? its amazing? how were you disappointed its one of the best guns for when you don't want to waste ammo and still want to be able to do a significant chunk of damage? you can easily kill devastators and almost all bugs except from the charger and bile titan decently quickly with it if you can actually aim

Whatever is trash against bugs is pretty good against bots and vice versa. Theres like 2 pistols and the mines are the only thing in the game that’s useless

The scythe is underrated as FUCK, either your aim is genuinely shit or you spend too much time on difficulty 7 and above because it’s fantastic against bugs AND bots if you don’t have 20 bile titans or tanks on you at any given time.
Yeah, I mained the Scythe until the Sickle was released. The Scythe is a very solid and reliable weapon, you just have to consistently aim for the head.
The Scythe is cool but there also happens to be a neat little stratagem called the Rover Drone that does all the Scything for you as long as it feels like not burning you to a crisp.
it's literally useless, your point proves so too - a good weapon should make use for bigger hordes of enemies as well, if only lesser difficulty is good for it then it proves how little performance it does. I literally lost a medium level defend mission because I wanted to try this garbage.
The devistators recent buff puts it waaaay up the list. A well placed shot can one-tap devastators and its destroying bugs left and right. Can even kill a charger with less than a mag on the butt
Punisher is awesome against bots, you can lob those over the rocks, 1 hit the strider, stunt the devastator and any medium bots 😂 also very good if those mini clankers group up
I actually do like the DMR for bots with certain load outs. But I can admit and agree with ease of use and more universal use in the shotgun line up. I think the breaker incendiary is at least b tier vs bugs its actually very effective wave clearing. Would agree with most of the rest of the list tho.
The incendiary shot gun is great to use and my favourite and I roast both bugs and bots as long as you back it up with a strategem weapon that has medium armour piercing
really sleeping on the diligence sniper for bots. and incendiary breaker devours hoards of insects, it also easily finishes off bile titans if the orbital left it standing
As someone who uses almost exclusively the knight on Helldive and regularly gets top frag with over 400+ kills: that gun is NOT F tier. Yeah, other guns have more total damage per magazine or better armor penetration; but I don’t know of any other weapon in the game save for the LMG that can pump out 2500 damage in a second. Pop off 2 round bursts and you’ll kill anything light like the ticks and hunters, anything larger and you’re using about a third to a half a magazine each. Be precise and you can mow down hordes as effectively as the breaker without sacrificing range and can use it with the ballistic shield for the bots. (Also just spray it into the face of a Devastator, they go down in seconds. You can easily kill a squad of them with one magazine if you have even halfway decent aim).
Hey! These are just my opinions, in the end, use what YOU like best. I personally just can't get the snipers to work for me. But if it works for you and your buddy and is fun, nobody can tell y'all otherwise 😎🫡
Well on that difficult anything works fine, on higher difficulties, you need firepower and enough ammo because boi... seeing your screen with 20 hunters at once ain't fun with a shitty gun...

If I remember correctly the Slugger can shoot straight through Hive Guard armor and the Punisher can't. Also the Slugger has insane range and better knockback.

For me personally the slugger is a better weapon than the Punisher against every enemies besides maybe the hunter, and the stalker. And then again this isn't because of damage, but because the Punisher do damage in a cone. And against bugs, I personally think the sickle is king right now.
The scythe absolutely destroys shriekers as it can dismember limbs effectively and the damage isn't really that bad i dont see why people complain so much about it
When people make lists without addressing the differences of application between the bugs and the bots, its hard to take it serious. Literally everything has varying effectiveness depending on what your fighting, and with the other faction coming out soon this will only further that notion
Jar dominator is A class at the very least and a literal crime that its put in D class. It can shred through every bug thats not heavy armored like a hot knife through butter and absilutely drill a hive guard in 5-6 shots. On the automaton side it 1 shots all light armor foes, shreds berserkers and can 1 shot them in the head. Takes half a mag to kill a light scout head on and can still take out the heat vents.
The dominator Quite literally is a mini autocannon. Amazing against devastator as it stuns and one shots them on headshots. Acouple shots to the back of a hulk, tank or turret and its gone. Idk if this was before the buff or after but its an amazing weapon just requires aim and recoil control.
Incin Breaker is bloody good if used against Terminids. It takes down whole swarms of anything below chargers and can deal with a flying pack in seconds. It’s maybe not Helldive tier but it’s a solid A, at worst a B for me.
As someone who only uses the Dilligence, I'm just gonna say you can't aim if you seriously put it in F tier. It's amazing if you hit headshots on devastators which 2 shots them, and one shots normal automatons in the torso. There is no gun I'd rather bring for automatons than the Diligence. As for bug missions I have no idea as I only fight automatons
Jar is A tier if it can kill a tank in a mag it deserves to be higher (also 2nd highest damage out of all primaries able to one-shot devestators and destroy gunships in roughly a mag depending on your aim)
For bug missions the spray and pray deserves more respect. That thing sweeps all the little bastards away so effectively. But yeah for BOTs it's not great

Personal preference, I absolutely refuse to ADS. It takes away too much situational awareness for what's going on behind you and to your sides.
You run out of ammo faster than the scorcher, I think its worse than the other breaker variants as a shotgun.

@@OscarGreenworth You take the ammo backpack while running the grenade launcher which is a good all-rounder for both bugs and bots. AMR too, but really most things I would want to use the AMR for the Autocannon does just as well if not better.

I run the dominator with a good support weapon like autocannon and that combo seems to work great against medium enemies.
The dominator is my favorite primary as well.

Just a small note about both the Diligence snipers, they have a small sound profile so they are handy if you decide to go stealth. Been using it solo in Helldive and if used carefully you can clear out the small enemies without triggering a bot drop as long as your targets are not in the line of sight of their comrades. Then again the Scorcher does the same thing but more power but less range.
The diligence and the counter sniper are amazing against bots. You can easily one hit the small guys from range while doing major damage with headshots
Scout armor and the Diligence CS are super fun for stealthy completion of bot campaigns
I feel like Punisher Plasma should be at least B tier. The weapon can slap both automatons and bugs if you just learn the trajectory of the projectile and the big blast radius makes it good for crowd control against clustered enemies. I love using it against the Automaton berserkers cause when theyre clustered together i can shoot at the ground and damage and hitstun like 4 or 5 at the same time.
Edit: Forgot to add: You can also kill chargers with like 7 or 8 shots if you just aim at the ground below them cause the explosion aoe damages them.
He can only pew pew with single target guns. The plasma is a nade launcher, and need skill to land a hit. But if it does.. bam. I love that thing.
I use the breaker incendiary and grenade launcher with supply pack with bugs and switch to the sickle for gear shifters

Nah, Punisher Plasma is actually pretty great. I'd say at least B tier once you get used to the arching projectile since you can literally AOE staggerlock anything smaller than a hulk/charger to death with 4 shots tops, often times one shotting small units.
This video is almost a month old and posted prior to the recent update where it was buffed. He might have different opinions now.
The smg does suck in damage but I think it really shines on bots when you hit headshots but when you get to shield guy and hulks it’s still good it’s just a pain to play against them

what? its amazing? how were you disappointed its one of the best guns for when you don't want to waste ammo and still want to be able to do a significant chunk of damage? you can easily kill devastators and almost all bugs except from the charger and bile titan decently quickly with it if you can actually aim
@@theangrierbrit I only fight bots on difficulty 7 or 8 its absolutely miserable for taking out larger bots compared to other guns, it's OK at taking out smaller bots but there are simply way better weapons, for everything including devastators

Whatever is trash against bugs is pretty good against bots and vice versa. Theres like 2 pistols and the mines are the only thing in the game that’s useless

My only complaint, as with others, is diligence being so low. I’d put counter sniper below the base model as well, but that’s just me.
The scythe is underrated as FUCK, either your aim is genuinely shit or you spend too much time on difficulty 7 and above because it’s fantastic against bugs AND bots if you don’t have 20 bile titans or tanks on you at any given time.

Yeah, I mained the Scythe until the Sickle was released. The Scythe is a very solid and reliable weapon, you just have to consistently aim for the head.
The Scythe is cool but there also happens to be a neat little stratagem called the Rover Drone that does all the Scything for you as long as it feels like not burning you to a crisp.
Scythe is still good 7-9. Good for stealth and headshot machine.
For bugs it a great chaff killer, use hip fire for bugs
it's literally useless, your point proves so too - a good weapon should make use for bigger hordes of enemies as well, if only lesser difficulty is good for it then it proves how little performance it does. I literally lost a medium level defend mission because I wanted to try this garbage.

The devistators recent buff puts it waaaay up the list. A well placed shot can one-tap devastators and its destroying bugs left and right. Can even kill a charger with less than a mag on the butt
All guns aside from the LAS-5 scythe and the liberator penetrator were buffed.
Energy weapons need some serious love
Punisher is awesome against bots, you can lob those over the rocks, 1 hit the strider, stunt the devastator and any medium bots 😂 also very good if those mini clankers group up

Diligence is my go to against bots. I can take entire squads on my own before they even shoot at me
I actually do like the DMR for bots with certain load outs. But I can admit and agree with ease of use and more universal use in the shotgun line up. I think the breaker incendiary is at least b tier vs bugs its actually very effective wave clearing. Would agree with most of the rest of the list tho.
The incendiary shot gun is great to use and my favourite and I roast both bugs and bots as long as you back it up with a strategem weapon that has medium armour piercing

As someone who uses almost exclusively the knight on Helldive and regularly gets top frag with over 400+ kills: that gun is NOT F tier.
Yeah, other guns have more total damage per magazine or better armor penetration; but I don’t know of any other weapon in the game save for the LMG that can pump out 2500 damage in a second. Pop off 2 round bursts and you’ll kill anything light like the ticks and hunters, anything larger and you’re using about a third to a half a magazine each. Be precise and you can mow down hordes as effectively as the breaker without sacrificing range and can use it with the ballistic shield for the bots. (Also just spray it into the face of a Devastator, they go down in seconds. You can easily kill a squad of them with one magazine if you have even halfway decent aim).
There is no way this guy put diligence counter sniper above diligence, diligence is so nice to use, its overall a solid weapon.
my buddy has been telling me the DMR is solid because it one shots most fodder, but then again we're on difficulty 2 so 😅

I tried the Slugger and in my opinion it doesn't have a single advantage over the Punisher
If I remember correctly the Slugger can shoot straight through Hive Guard armor and the Punisher can't. Also the Slugger has insane range and better knockback.

For me personally the slugger is a better weapon than the Punisher against every enemies besides maybe the hunter, and the stalker. And then again this isn't because of damage, but because the Punisher do damage in a cone.
And against bugs, I personally think the sickle is king right now.
The scythe absolutely destroys shriekers as it can dismember limbs effectively and the damage isn't really that bad i dont see why people complain so much about it
Liberator penetrator is an A for fighting automaton
When people make lists without addressing the differences of application between the bugs and the bots, its hard to take it serious. Literally everything has varying effectiveness depending on what your fighting, and with the other faction coming out soon this will only further that notion
Jar 5 jumped up to S tier in the most recent update, A at the least, and so did the breaker incendiary.
The only reason you’d but the Dominator in D tier is if you’re not hitting your shots.

im lvl 125 and it all depends on the enemy and situation. the incendiary shotgun is S tier on bugs. The sickle is horrible on hot planets
The Knight is fantastic against bugs. The fact it can stop a stalker in its tracks and just allow you to melt it makes it worthy.
Jar dominator is A class at the very least and a literal crime that its put in D class. It can shred through every bug thats not heavy armored like a hot knife through butter and absilutely drill a hive guard in 5-6 shots.
On the automaton side it 1 shots all light armor foes, shreds berserkers and can 1 shot them in the head. Takes half a mag to kill a light scout head on and can still take out the heat vents.
The dominator Quite literally is a mini autocannon. Amazing against devastator as it stuns and one shots them on headshots. Acouple shots to the back of a hulk, tank or turret and its gone. Idk if this was before the buff or after but its an amazing weapon just requires aim and recoil control.
The jar5 absolutely wrecks once you get it's recoil down.
I actually like the knight on burst fire mode, seems more manageable
Incin Breaker is bloody good if used against Terminids. It takes down whole swarms of anything below chargers and can deal with a flying pack in seconds. It’s maybe not Helldive tier but it’s a solid A, at worst a B for me.
Spray and Pray is S tier for bugs, F tier for automatons. Try shooting the back leg of a charger. You could kill it with less than a mag.

As someone who only uses the Dilligence, I'm just gonna say you can't aim if you seriously put it in F tier. It's amazing if you hit headshots on devastators which 2 shots them, and one shots normal automatons in the torso. There is no gun I'd rather bring for automatons than the Diligence. As for bug missions I have no idea as I only fight automatons

Jar is A tier if it can kill a tank in a mag it deserves to be higher (also 2nd highest damage out of all primaries able to one-shot devestators and destroy gunships in roughly a mag depending on your aim)
People are sleeping on the plasma gun , it has nice aoe damage and stuns devestators and one shots striders

For bug missions the spray and pray deserves more respect. That thing sweeps all the little bastards away so effectively. But yeah for BOTs it's not great
The Liberator Penetrator got a buff to full auto. I’d put it in A tier.
