- This week we met back up with jerry who said he had a 1952 Chevy Sedan sitting in a barn since 1976. as soon as I heard him say that I had to come to his barn and see it for myself! This car was filthy and I didn't expect the customer to call me during the end and to make that deal.. I swear its an addiction. Only car people will understand.

Thanks For Watching! And Thank you for 70k Subs! 🙏 What Should We Do With This 52 Chevy? 🤔
It's a 1951 Chevrolet bro not a 52 1952 Chevrolet have teeth in the grill it's a good car to save and restore
Put a new frame under it and slam it to the ground or restore it. It's a beautiful piece of art that deserves to be enjoyed.
How much would you take for it ?
I’d put it on a s10 frame and bag it on some gold 15” Daytons lol
The car is in very good shape.find a good frame, turn it into a early 60s drag car for street, strip.
Brings back fond memories of my grandfather and his 1951 Chevy Deluxe! That car is worth restoring!
My grandfather had one Bittersweet color he used as a farm car! Every imaginable piece of junk tools barb wire repair pail. Put calves for auction in the trunk with head sticking out of burlap bag to deliver. That car went through the pastures in the darndest places. Lol
Restore it please!
Next week we will take a better look at it and see what we are doing with it!
I appreciate the comment! 🙌
@@DetailDane absolutely sir no problem anytime and greetings from Miami, Florida

Pop's here. The front turn signal light frame are 51 model examples.
Please restore. These cars are part of a Americana my cousin in Cuba has a 49 deluxe I had the pleasure of driving it 3 on the tree. Awesome thank you for the video.
That a nice car and reminds me of the one I had in 1968 that I paid $100.00 for it and drove it for 10 years .Wish I still had it .😊😊
You bought a car for 100 bucks?? mann inflation.
It looks to be worth putting a frame under, 49 to 54 should be the same, it would be a shame to waste it.
Motor mounts will be different for 52 to 54
also very interchangeable.
I'd be looking for a frame to put it on. Classic beauty.
Yes, yes, yes! That old beauty is just crying to be restored. Save it will ya?
I agree
Even if you had to rebuild the frame piece by piece
It seems to me you have the expertise
This car is NOT shot. You always do nice work!
Would be an awesome restoration project!
The floor and frame is easy to fix. Get yourself a forney 110 volt flux welder, 1/4 steel for the frame, 18 gage steel for the floor, and angle grinder with a metal cutting disc, and it wouldn’t be any more labor then what you put in to cleaning it to repair all the bad metal.. then you’d make waaaaaaay more profit when you sell it.. smooth of the rough outside parts, look up the paint code for that year and just fill in what’s bad and feather it off.. then you could even stack waaaay more profit on top of that waaaaay more profit.. and I’m sure the engine spins, so tune up, fluids, battery and ur good to go.. it sounds like a lot but it ain’t. Bet your channel would blow the hell up if u did all that… repaint the rims, new white walls.. then you’d keep her. Guaranteed.. kid stuff super easy. 2k tops in materials.
lol,
I agree! I would love to fix it.
@@davidpsalmond8522 it’s definitely not as difficult as most would think..💯
It's a 1951 Styline de Luxe.
Bplkok9arp9mkp9p9😅
I would try to find a car frame that it would fit on and restore it.
I bet Arizona has a frame new Mexico or even Texas. Do as you will
Mexico here. I have one.
It is a beautiful car. I think it deserves a new frame.
The flooring can be rebuilt, rust can be fixed, paint can be matched. Would love to see it restored - you would end up with a treasure
Bring the car back or find someone who would. I really enjoyed your video. Kerry
Great job Dane i love the green color you don't see alot of cars these days with that color not sure what you should do with the car would be nice to see it fixed and on the road again
I appreciate it! 🙏 not sure what I'm gonna do with car yet, having a rotted frame is pretty bad, but the body is self is salvageable. If I can't find a donor car I'll fab it into a 4x4 😎
the C10 is often referred to as a half-ton, short bed pickup, it actually came in two different lengths. There was the 6.5 foot bed that had a 115 inch wheelbase and there was also the full size 8 foot bed with a 127 inch wheel base.
115inch is a perfect match for your car with no frame.
Care to buy mine? It's in similar condition. Know someone who wants one?
It's a crime to let it sit
Buy mine. Is just sitting here.
That's NOT a 1952. It's a '51 Style line Deluxe. I know because I had a '52 for 12yrs that I drove around the Bay Area, CA. I swapped the engine out for a '59 235ci with a whopping 135hp. Mine also had a two spd Powerglide automatic transmission and dual exhaust (Fenton headers) and was a 4dr Sedan and it was also dark green. my favorite color. I bought it in 1994 in Oakland,CA where it lived it's whole life being owned by a Dr. who made house calls with it. Great find and have fun with it. If it were me I'd keep it as original as possible.
Care to buy one in similar condition?
@@migueloth no thanks I have moved on to a '64 Old's F85 Cutlass GM A Body.
Please start putting your videos in a Playlist! I love your videos, but it's annoying to stream them and having to go choose the next one, 😂😅 I love your work man! The editing and videos are always top notch!

I Appreciate You Guys! 🙏
My great aunt the seamstress had one just like this when was in 3rd grade. I remember when she knitted a front seat cover for it. It was a great old car, so comfortable.
The emerald green really came out nice! I guess the good news is that this is a body on frame car, and the body (except the front fenders) are in pretty good shape… so putting it on a truck frame seems like a great idea
Yes the paint is pretty, except that front clip, probably just inadequate Prep work!
Measure and get the right wheelbase to match it up to the newest Chevy to mount the body to. That would be cool. An all original body and interior to a newer chassis. Good luck.
A Malibu or a. Nova subframe wood set it up fine
@@user-ht1xu4gv2umakes me wonder if the front clip would mount ok to a subframe. Idk. I’ve never seen that before.
@@ocmonman1 yeah numerous people did it along with kits available
@@user-ht1xu4gv2u that car with all original interior and body with that kit would be great. I guess I can just dream about it.
@@ocmonman1you tube Chevy car and Camaro subframe. Nova too. Get modrn suspension disc brakes and a mild drop. Fab up some fender mounts ND you gotta winner
Lots of work to get a new frame and floor pan, but the body and engine look very repairable. A good hobby car for someone out there.
there's companies who specializes in making floorpans so that's not going to be a problem
Great fun to see. We had a ‘53 4-door, though black not that swell emerald green, that my Dad drove until ~1967. Had Botha. Heater and a radio, both options at that time!
Vintage Car..
If it finished by Reparing, Painting it's look Gorgeous..
Old is Gold ❤️
Very satisfying content.
Wow , this brings back a lot of memories. My oldest brother now 84 had one of these when he was in high school . Im 75 and i got to go with him a lot of places and i thought i was someone special. If had it i would want it back as original as you could , of course im nostalgic, but these cars are hard to find . I would put a better frame under it and a complete new brake system and back to the original color and interior. Rebuild the motor and transmission, wiring and new tires . Have some fun with it and dont butcher it . Ill be looking for more videos , thanks .
Brings back sweet memories. My dad owned a 1952 de luxe coupe. Same clour as this one. Following from South Africa.
Our local stock car track started a class called super 6 back in the mid 70's...we bought a 52 exactly like that one...an old woman that had taken it out of a garage that was ready to fall on it.The guy that was welding in the cage called us to come by his shop...when we went he showed us the car had zero rust....we told him to continue because we had a 292 straight 6 ready to go...the car was totaled its 1st.night out...one of many cars we ruined...SMH
Idk Id love to see it fixed with a new chassis floor pan the body is gorgeous. Thanks.
I swear I could hear the car go "AHHHHH" when you sprayed it with soap!
the car is a 51..The 52 has a slightly different grill and signal lights . Please restore that beauty.
You have done a great job.
I have a few of these I'm from California mine where rust free super clean
Do you want another one? I have one in similar condition.
I love watching these vids with old grampy guys in them, and constantly surprising myself finding out we're around the same age
It'd be a terrible shame to deliver this beauty to the junkyard. I'd very much like to see it fully restored and back on the road!
Why not get it running and keep it. That would only make since. Don't just give up on it. Everything can be fixed
Aluminum foil works better on chrome than steel wool
Beautyfull. Nice job to do on it, making therapy. 😊👏👏
Lovely colour!
Mais um sobrevivente, parabéns aos envolvidos por trazê-lo à vida 👏👏👏
Absolutely a “Dreamboat!” If it was me, I would LOVE to completely restore it back to original, as best I could,(finding parts, getting some parts restored, etc.) and definitely keeping the same beautiful green paint color, and, maybe adding some white pinstripes . One main part, to start with, would be another car frame, not truck. If the rims are good, cleaning & repainting them(also the same green color,) and adding white wall tires. That would be,(@ least to me,) a fantastic “Sunday Driver & Car Show Stunning Ride!” Best wishes with it, & have fun!
Love the color The inside is so cool. Sure do love the old cars. You could tell which type of car they were. Ya know a Chevy , Ford, Chrysler etc
If that's a 52, then someone changed the grill. It has a 51 grill...
Yup
There was blue pain underneath the green paint on the passenger side front fender. So maybe in its lifetime they found a 51 Grill and right front fender and put it on a 52 car
Es muy bonito . Bellísimo . I follow you from Barcelona (Spain)
Very cool old car!
Love the shade of green
Hi Dane,
As much as I don't like green, for how old that car is the paint is pretty good.
Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Nice work man she popping
I would save this car ! Someone will fix it !
I am not a 'car person' but would like to see this care brought back to life, it looks well worth it, bedt regards from Australia
Has somebody that really likes and has had many classic cars.. barn finds are a great thing but now you're looking at a car that's going to take 45,000 to restore and then it'll be worth 25 thousand
nah!..leave it,but running!Youre right 45 to get 25 aint the thing to do!
The main indicators of year model in the front of the 1952; the center crossbar of the grill has five vertical ribs and it has larger turn lenses. A 1951 has no ribs, and smaller lenses with a series of vertical slots next to them. I believe you have a '51.
good show 😎👍
GG! You have to restore this gem! Or at least make sure someone gets it, who will. I know that you realize how fortunate you are to have this car.
1951 chevy 2 door deluxe sedan, fathom green with a 216 inline 6. All original like that is a very desirable car! You need to get that mold cleaned for sure. The seats have old warshowski catalog, sears or Montgomery wards seat covers on them, so juat remove the covers the seats might be perfect underneath! You should put a battery in it and get it running! Parts are plentiful! If youre close to milwaukee or chicago i could come help you get it running and driving ive been restoring cars for my whole life(im 40). Frames can be had easily, lots of 4 door sedan parts cars around or you could fix the frame if you can weld.
What you have there is a car with all original parts, all you need is some frame and sheet metal - that's just metalworking. The hardest part in restoring is to find the detail parts that doesn't exist anymore.
Advice from a a pro YT watcher lol, you're doing good, no long intro, no long yapping, to the point, no pleading for subs and likes. Just go easy on the music it adds nothing. thank you.
My first car was a Chevy like that one.Mine had hippy flowers on it.
Shame about the floor. Floor can be fixed easy but if the chassis is as bad as it looks here it's a parts car unfortunately. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Best of luck, hope it sees the road again.
I had a 51 Pontiac with that same body style. My friend used to say hard to tell if it was coming or going
restore it!
My older brother had a 54 Chevy he drove for several years before he got a Buick wildcat. Sadly he passed away in 79 .
That's what my '52 4-door looked like when
I bought it for $10 in 1971. Unlike these guys, Dad and I were lucky enough to drive
mine home! Went through the same
processes they went
through without a pressure washer. Had
to wash mine before I
could put in the garage to work on it. When you lift the hood, you should see a 235 6 cylinder mated to either
a 3-speed or a powerglide tranny. Looks good though.
It's worth the effort to make the Chevy roadworthy again. A refurbished car rather than "restored". Just a good driver please.
Is it worth the expense tho? That car is not valuable at all and not collectable or desirable. In nice driveable - non rusty condition it might bring 3 grand.
@@norm-nas I would check price guides again I feel. If a 51 Chevrolet sings to you and gives the nostalgia feeling of being there. Then price is secondary. My great aunt had a 49 coupe, close friends of the family had a dark green four door like the rough find shown so history matters.
Nice car!
Cars back then in the rust belt only lasted 4 maybe 5 years before body parts started falling off. There probably isn't much more rust there than there was when it was parked.
I'd do a mild custom with it. Mustang II ifs, lowering springs out back. Probably keep the original driveline (Add 3.55 gear if not there) Convert to 12v. system and drive it.
Obviously, the rust situation needs to be replaced. In the local Craigslist (socal), I've seen frames cheap. But that's what I would do. Long story short restore it but leave it as a suvivor (which it is)
Such a beautiful car, to bad the last owner didn't take care of it, some people just take these cars for granted and just never wash them when there is salt on them thats one of the main reasons cars rust no matter what age it is hope it gets restored soon
Seems like it's worth fixing up to me, but I'm no expert. We had a 1952 Chevy, that was the same body style. It was white with blue trimming!
Normally I don't like it when cars get back halved for epic tubs with tube chassis etc.
It's a prime candidate to be a gasser style drag car!
Hermoso el chevrolet...
Arranco ? Funciona ?
Suerte !
Respect ❤
Hey buddy, if you look hard enough you'll find a frame to stick under that car. That's a really cool looking car you got there
Tip : Old paint would chip off because of the lead , lead paint stopped in 1976 . Maybe the car was not in an accident
Now that's a heavy machine not like that plastic junk they build to day
This car is like practically mint and that rust is very fixable you should definitely fix that it's worth big bucks
I am in Australia and I got a 51 Chevrolet out of a shed on a farm got it going it was a beautiful car dark blue grey leather trim carpet in the rear rubber in the front no rust whatso ever beautifuly made car. That one definatley parts body off frame. frame repaired with new steel floor redone if they still make them, the engine would survive a nuclear bomb they are tough
Yo what pad did you use for the paint bro
Fix it weld frame patch floor pan n keep it like it is but disc power brakes n LS it beautiful sleeper I've seen worse that has been fixed n road worthy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Rock&Roll baby
Fabricate a new frame, suspension, disk brakes, replace the sheetmetal, chop the top and go from there.
My father had a 51 stylline coupe. Same Green color with all the accessories. Bad shape? Yes, but not as bad as I've seen. Definately could be saved. Would hate to see this scrapped. Lots of good parts there.
No, that not bad. In Finland, guy digged up half of chevy body from swamp. Now it`s showroom car.
Dave, That car would be perfect for a body drop onto a Chevy S10 Blazer frame and floor
If it’s made of metal, It can be repaired. I have seen cars a lot ,lot worse than this one brought back to life. she’s a beauty. A chassis swap would be the most logical way to go.
I gotta ask...what is it about nearly every old car about to be revived that the air cleaner is missing?. I'm from that era and don't recall anyone removing the air cleaner when they were finished driving the car.
This is a 1951 not a 52 which you probably know by now.
I actually don't know 😂 but next week when I get into the interior I'll do some more investigating. I appreciate the comment! 🙌
KEEP IT
