This was hilarious. I skipped S2 as S1 was barely passable plus there were soooo many negative reviews. I'm watching this recap instead to see if I needed to know anything for the favourably reviewed S3 . 👊

@@SteelCityJW I stared to watch it, but the writing and acting was so garbage I couldn't sit through it. I heard that season 3 was much better, which is why I watched the recap.
After that awful S1, I only watched S2 so I would have some context when talking with my other Trekkie friends. But I couldn’t even make it through 4 episodes. Everyone says S3 is radically more true to TNG, but I’m unwilling to be disrespected for 6 more episodes of this second season garbage in order to get to S3.

I am so glad I didn't watch the second season. With where season 1 ended and felt like season 2 was going to be a dumpster fire and looks like I was pretty much right. It's like good writing just doesn't exist anymore
WOW I turned S1 off half way through because it was a mess and somehow S2 is an even bigger mess. S3 LOOKS like it might be the only decent one. Kurtzman and Goldman are such hacks and butchers. Thanks for the recap. Glad I didn't have to watch the whole, apparently painful, second season 🖖

Not to mention Picard has a brother who wasn’t mentioned at all in the family drama.
In all I liked the second season - but it’s a total mess. Trying to cram too many plots into the story arc, some have payoffs, some are worthless, trying to keep characters because they were there last season but the don’t have anything to do… we’re going to do this Renee Picard thing and it’s kinda like Zephram Cochrane. Guinan was instantly excellent.
I stopped watching when Rafi knew how to field strip a Glock in 0.68 seconds and Seven could magically drive a car like a trained stunt woman. 400 year time difference? No problem!
Can't believe this show got a second season.

Thank you from 9 months in the future. I stopped watching the show during the episode they time travel back to current time. I heard the third season is getting back the the roots of Star Trek and has positive reviews. But I just refuse to finish the previous season.
I've heard that season 3 is legit good? I have no idea how after watching the recaps for seasons 1 and 2, but we'll see...
Never cared for the Q character nor the Q episodes, but I would power through to better understand the series. Not sure I would have been able to get through an entire season of Q! Season one only got interesting the last two episodes…
I'm trying to save myself a lot of time and get to Season 3, which I hear is great so far. If there is anything I see that looks interesting, I'll watch the episode. Is there any episode in Season 2 that's essential to watch?

It was said before, but I too thank you for saving me an entire season of pain.
After the utter trash which was Picard S1 I decided not to watch S2. However people have been saying that S3 is actually pretty good, but does continue from the end of S2, so I needed to catch up with the story. After watching your recap and finding out that S2 was just dumb list of "this might be cool" moments strung together in the worst convoluted mess of nonsense, I am not sure if I want to watch S3 now.
Boy am I happy I skipped seasons 1-2 right to season 3. I mean, I don't know what this is but it is NOT Star Trek
This is remarkably bad. Picard let his mom out and she killed herself in the atrium. It's not a found place for him for crying out loud.
So Picard seems to be a complete and utter mess. It makes Star Trek V look like an amazing film!

Usually i watch last 3 episodes of every show before i watch the next season, but seriously i didn't wanna watch season 2 again its just poring and predictable

I'm sooooo tired of the back in time/mirror mirror story. Guys. You did this two movies ago.
Anyway I don't care about breaking cannon here and there because they can barely write a good story without Adhering.
But just when I thought they couldn't possibly ruin the borg anymore because they already ruined them. But this?
I hated when they were allies for a few episodes in Voyager this is absolutely awful anybody remember the first Borg episode and the best of both worlds when the Borg was the scariest thing ever in the history of Star Trek
