I don't know about innovation, this design has it's origins dating back a hundred years. This is no criticism, all the features as described is what makes a great boat. I would prefer this be constructed in GRP for its noise absorbing qualities. Stability would be improved with the added weight, comfort over speed every time.

The boats designed in the thirties had the high bows. It added head room in the cabin.

Every Honda I have seen has a rusty main steering tube. None of the other outboards rust. Are Honda’s made only for fresh water?
