And just like that, we're over and out from Michelin EWS Loudenvielle. It's been action-packed with both rounds 5 and 6 coming thick and fast. Catch up here: gmbn.eu/EWSPlaylist and make sure to join us next weekend for Round 7 from Crans Montana, Switzerland đ€
how about just cover the stages 1 by 1 and then talk about the overall when it's done?
Dreaming of what can Slawomir Lukasik do in a factory team... This guy is amazing. 7th place as privateer and 9th overall servicing his bike on his own during the race and sleeping in a van. Go Slawek!
Facts.
Yeah he's doing a great job so far this season!
"Bit smoked, but ill give it the berries!" Jack is a classic! Ritchie is a top bloke and humble as fuk, and mad respect, but Jack cracks me up! Go boi!
Nice to see more coverage/ longer edits. Roll on Tweed Valley!
Lukasik is a huge promise for the sport. Get him a sponsor!!!
Just a suggestion, I think you should have the stage placing and times for each individual stage as well as the overall time and placing
the production and information could be a lot better
thanks for the feedback! We'll see if there's a better way to present the info but our graphics are locked in for the season! If we change it it'll be implemented next year
Sickkkkkk. Did my first enduro race today and for the first time I've properly realised and respected what these guys go through
As an aspiring freerider, should I try Enduro?
@@LMHoopClips yes! It's awesome
@@LMHoopClips 100%. There's so many different lines you can choose and I learnt so much just from one race. It's also a massive confidence boost if you complete it
That tape jump at 16:48 is cheeky ninja line haha
Haha, yeah that bit of tape had been blowing around in the wind so a marshall anchored it with a stone, in a slightly different point than in practice, caught a few slightly off guard!
Great sport is often built on great rivalry, this is amazing.
That was a proper good episode! Near half hour made it worth sitting down for! Does help too when Richie and moi moi are this closer to for the excitement! Loved it!
Racing is in such a good state right now! Lot's of people who could take the win!
Wow the Moir/Rude duel is awesome!!
Top coverage of EWS love GMBN covers everything you need to know about mountain biking love it watch it everyday
Cheers Andy! Thanks for the feedback đ€
Brawo SĆawek !!
No mention of the Jesse having a mechanical on stage 4 and dropping from 4th place to completely out of contention? He was the 3rd place in the overall before that huge issue, yet no mention at all? How was that missed?
Wondering the same thing. Tough break for Jesse.
@@ark8tct Jesse has some info on his Instagram.
Nice work, much better coverage, thank you.
Considering how small the difference in time between the top 10 clearly all amazing athletes, every line and corner counts.
Exactly this Jeremy. It used to be that you could make 1 or 2 minor errors and still be in with a shot over multiple long stages per day, nowadays it's precision for every inch!
I thought Richie had gotten it ... seeing Jack hit a tree ... but mechanical! I could imagine what the interview after race would be, not fit to broadcast due to inappropriate language. Though Richie is not like that. Probably just great disappointment to loose like this. I can't wait for the next race!
really great coverage, I especially like the side-by-side views, great work!
Cheers Ben đ
Great vid! I know how tough those races are
Loving the coverage of this round!
Incredible race...Congrats to jack moir his real potential is really on enduro and also to Richie which he almost
won but suffered mechanical problems but still managed to get 2nd place Very impressive. And also for Maes it's unfortunate his rear tire got flat i think it's due to burp? I'm expecting he will get 3rd.
Great video, as usual. I live for these!
Merci guys for your work ! Awesome ! It has been an amazing week at #pyreneesbikefestival and you transcribe it the best possible way.
With so many top level riders, i think that we french would like to have a broadcast in our language at the same level. Meanwhile, we can at least improve our english by following your channel đ
GREAT coverage!!! Thanks for posting!!!
Cheers John!
what disasters? what happened?
you guys could do a lot better at explaining what goes on / what happened to the riders that has problems?
Nice one Moi Moi!!!
Awesome video as always. Seems a shame Matt Walker didn't get a shout out for coming 5th in the mens. Great results!
Rude enjoyed some French lines. When in Rome
In focus this time đđŒ
Insane
How is the EWS not broadcast live?
Logistical issues that we're working to resolve!
@@gmbn Look forward to that!
Whatâs with Rudes cheeky little outside the tape pole hop manoeuvre at 16:46 lol đ€šđ
Wondering the same. Cheeky for sure, but is it not the same as DH in that youâre DQâd for going around a pole?
@@danielbrooks6268 yeah Iâm not sure thatâs why I made the comment so someone could enlighten me haha
Iâm sure it is probably the same tho.
Hey guys, Yes same rules as downhill where cutting the course or leaving the tape to a time advantage is a DQ. However, that course tape was blowing around so a marshall secured it with a rock, but in a slightly different place than before, so it took a few riders by surprise, with that in mind Richie isn't cutting anything here, the tape is just in the wrong spot.
@@gmbn ahh okay cool. thanks for clearing that up for me âïž
Digging the racing, digging the new format.
Love the vids
Cheers!
Great vid
Thanks....Peace
Enduro 2021 mantap
Canyon collective chef must be doing his job!!! đđ»
A bit off subject, but the music that starts at 2:00...is that an actual song??? Frickenâ nice little cut!
Sick
How spoilt are we to see such fine folks racing in hi def
I might be totally wrong here and should give it a try myself, but compared to the XC World Championship and even to XC races that I know, it looks as if modern, professional XC racing is like Enduro racing plus climbing. I honestly expected a bit more than rushing down flow trail type of courses.
You are totally wrong! This is action. XC is boring.
In sections, you may be right that some of the courses are quite similar. But Enduro is way gnarlier than modern XC for a much longer length of time, then the fitness aspect kicks in in making your liaison time before your next stage begins.
I support of Rude and love Jack's performance but can we have a translator? Reminds me of Brad Pitt in Snatch. Also, love the stats but when will we have more of the actual racing coverage?
Don't worry I am Australian and I had trouble understanding him.
Rode a 46 mile journey today. Got sore legs
so youâre basically an EWS racer, is what youâre saying
Nah I'm a noob at best. These guys are machines. Sorry for sharing.
This was a better edit imo, more riding, longer epp, good mix of POV ect especially compered to the last round. I still would like to see a bit more info on whats happened to some of the well known riders that people like to follow, why they are off the pace, crash? mechanicals? riding like sh*%??
Thanks for the feedback Nath! It's tricky as we do want to focus on who's going for the win at the front of the race, rather than mid-pack or in the bottom half. Also, with Enduro, there's a lot of uncovered track, so someone could make a slight mistake and we wouldn't know about it! Multiply that by almost 200 racers and there's a very small chance our production team can capture every story. We're working on how to improve this over the coming years though, so bear with us đ€
@@gmbn going off when I rode in the first ever Tassy round in the oldmans category lol I can only imagine it would be a nightmare having soe many crews all over the hill with everyone starting times spread over long periods.
I was more talking about some of the big name players that have a lot of interest in them and have had good results in the past Like Sam Hill , Jesse Melamed , Adrien, Florian, Greg Callaghan, Connor Fearon to name a few.
I also dont really expect to have everything captured on camera but if someone drops off the radar asking them at the bottom of a stage or at the end of the day for a bit more info as the Highlight show rolls on would be good info that a stc of us love hearing about. You guys might also have the goss on why someone isnt riding on the day like Ed masters or even a bit of info on what happened to say another previous champion and Richie's team mate Gerard Graves who from memory was in the pits.
Its also cool to know when some of the DH guys show up like when Blenki or someone pops in for a round.
Pretty sure all that stuff is of interest to fans of the EWS.
16:48?
Yieew!
Is it just me or did Richie Rude jump the tape at 16:49? If that was the World Cup DH heâd probably be disqualified.
He jumped over it, he did not ride outside the tape, wheels in the air, all goodđđŒ
Hey guys, that course tape was blowing around so a marshall secured it with a rock, but in a slightly different place than before, so it took a few riders by surprise, with that in mind Richie isn't cutting anything here, the tape is just in the wrong spot. If it wasn't the case this would have incurred a time penalty as wheels are on the ground outside the tape before he hops. But you can see it kind of took him by surprise.
Can someone explain me how you don't have a single comment or image of a Canyon Factory team rider, that is now in the 3rd place of the EWS???? He finished 8 at this event and was fighting for the top 5 for the most of the day...
Do you guys at GMBN forgot about José Borges and prefer to give some broadcasting minutes to the unknown french guys?
What a shame....and big fail. Didn't see that coming from you guys!
Hey Paulo, of course we don't forget about Borges. He's an integral part of the team in the lead for the constructor's championships, the truth is that unfortunately, the EWS Team are flat out to create this edit including as much of the action as they possibly can, so we can't currently bring you the story of every single rider from the race. We're looking to improve this alongside the EWS Team to make the coverage better and better in the years to come, but it is going to take time to get there.
E
I can't understand how Harriet can have such success. Watching her ride, her technique is worse than most amateurs. I know Isabeau is far behind her normal race pace but unless its a very pedal based stage, Harriet should be outside the top ten. But that logic appear not to be true this season, and it's more exiting when the women's race are so tight.
You're right the technique is miserableđšđ
Just say no to chipmunk vocals
