+RoyalJordanian I always make a point of saying thank you to the considerate car driver very obviously, so all other car drivers can see and maybe do the same in the future. A bid thumbs up usually does the trick!
+RoyalJordanian I would say 75 % don't care, 20 % are cool, 4 % don't really like you and 1 % try to kill you.

+iamhim Same here. It's -25°f in the winter where I live right now(University) so having a bike for 3 months of the year isn't worth the money, especially since there is no place to put it.

+RETRO 93 I'm not a biker lover - rider at all, only a 4 wheels man but I do care a lot about our two wheels friends :) I realized how dangerous the road is for bikers just by watching loads of bike vlogs. You guys got my respect for that !
I never rode a bike but when i see a bike behind me i allways try to move away so they can pass.

As a biker myself, i know how it feels when car owners make way for you. I've nothing but UTMOST RESPECT for these people and i always wave a thanks while passing by.
I always give a wave or a honk to these people because they need to know I really appreciate their kindness. Great video RJ!
Most people are friendly. The few unfriendly often get (or demand) the most attention.

yeah i love being nice to bikers aswell cause they respect other roads users aswell that pay attantion for eachother i love that team work.
On my daily commute, there were times when it was very hot and the traffic was atrocious, and 20 to 30 cars would move over for us for miles at a time, you get tired of waving but its soooooo appreciated you have no idea.
Reople like these are few and far between in this day and age. They deserve the recognition. Thanks for posting this RJ!

I love watching your videos RJ! It makes me happy that in England bikers have respect and many drivers are kind with you. Where I live if I would try filtering cars would overrun me (although filtering is legal in my country). Keep up with the great videos cause you make us happy!

I always give a thank you to people who move over, its really considerate of them to let you through and I always try to move over a bit when I'm driving the car. some people deliberately block me in but they are the ones without a bike methinks!

Drivers like that are my favorite. I try to give them a wave whenever I can! Most of my splitting is on the freeway though so I can't get everyone.
I completely respect that people are starting to take notice of bikers and not only care for their own safety. But I tell you even if going in between the passing lines is legal in England and other places, I still feel nervous in the fact that it is generally less safe and I worry that I will hurt someone on a bike due to this fact. But I can also respect that Royal Jordanian is posting videos giving respect to these people.

To be honest, i've never realised how rare these actions are as here in Belgium, i'm quite used to that quite a lot of drivers here tend to make extra space for you, when they spot you, so you can easily pass through. Starting today i'll appreciate it way more :) Thank you for this video! :)

Nice of you to show how some drivers are good people to motorcycles, also for a minute there at the end i thought that was leadpin. lol
I find that truckers are the nicest of all drivers towards bikers. Especially in highway traffic they're always willing to move their massive vehicles out of the way so that I have a little more riding space. Verry impressive, very kind!
For some reason I found this a heartwarming video. The car drivers being nice and you being nice afterwards :). Btw I didn't know lane splitting was legal in the UK?
I must admit, im not a biker, but I do try my best to give them room when I can do so. Love it when a biker says thanks too. It's just respect on both sides isn't it.

Amazing. Folding their mirrors up for you? In all my time riding in germany this only happened once to me. Maybe I do need a louder exhaust. Lots of people make space once they see you though. I always try to thank them just like you! Keep it up! Stay save!

To be honest, since i started watching your vids i have become much more nice to bikers in ques etc. I always give them room in the middle beetwen the lanes so they can pass me. Actually not only for their sake, but for mine aswell. Because they will drive past me even if i dont move, but if i do so, the chances they would scratch my car or hit my mirrors or whatever are much smaller :)

its a mentality thing, i grew up around bikes and had respect for them long before i could ride myself. i reckon if all drivers were made to ride something little, like a moped, for a few months before taking a car test then there would be far more sympathy and respect for bikes (as nowt scares you like being on small vehicle on a busy road with cars 'bullying' you)
hehehe one when i ride back to home from poland, in holland was huge traffic on motorway, durning filtering i feel like Moses same at Edymburgh Bypass :)

Here in Lisbon "cager" drivers are getting better as well, but there are some who really just like to difficult our riding, but in general they tend to be nice. It just makes the driving experience in the city much better
+ƦƦoƋrіgʊes there is a safety factor in the growing biker numbers. More and more people start to ride (hail the 125cc laws), the drivers become more aware and that makes life easier for everyone. They are not going to get there faster, but at least, they don't make riders life a living hell.
I live in CA, lots of bikers here and one of few states where lane splitting (filtering) is legal. People are generally pretty good about it, and I always try to leave as much space as I can, though our lanes are bigger than in the UK!
When lane splitting is normalized and people understand that is is safer and more efficient for everyone involved, you get this kind of harmonious relationship between all commuters.

I always make space for bikers. In traffic jams I always keep space in advance, I notice more and more people in my country doing that. I must admit its also a bit of a fear they might scratch my car and then drive off, but most of them give a thankyou sign when I move over a bit so they can pass.
