Can you beat Minecraft as an Old Person?

- Old people really are great, I, personally, love them. Which is why I decided to implement mechanics in Minecraft to make it possible to play as one of these geezers! So what does this mean? Here are the mechanics I've implemented in order to play as an old person in Minecraft:
1. Simulated Dementia: So at random moments, the player will get the 'Darkness' status effect. 5 seconds after this happens, the player's vision will go dark, and when they come to, they will notice they are somewhere different(up to 341 [plus the number of days passed since spawn] blocks away). In addition to this, up to 7 inventory slots have been altered to contain a variety of items. This simulates the player doing something else, and then forgetting it, because when you wake up you obviously will have no memory of getting there or obtaining those items.
2. Chronic Pain: Any movement that the player does will cause damage, 1/2 heart per tick that the player is moving. So you will die very quickly due to this. The only way to stop this is to eat the vicodin pills that have been provided to you on spawn. Taking these pills prevents the pain for approximately 2 minutes, but gives the player the 'Slowness' status effect. The player will be supplied with 10 vicodin on spawn, and 10 more each time they enter a dimension. The point of this mechanic is not obtaining or rationing the pills, but to constantly remind you that you're old and you need medicine to live.
3. Double damage taken: old people are frail and take more damage
4. Increased fall damage: old people have brittle bones and therefore take more fall damage. A 5 block fall is fatal!
5. Decreased attack damage: old people have withered muscles and deal 50% damage of a normal person
6. Heart attacks: similar to this mechanic in my reddit mod video, if you work the old man too hard he will die of a heart attack. Such activities that can cause this are: sprinting, jumping, swinging any type of weapon/tool too much. The player must rest and take a breather frequently when performing these activities.
7. Stairs are fatal: We know old people and stairs are natural enemies, so each tick that the geezer is touching stairs he will take 10 damage, half his health!
8. Random health problems: later in the game (30 plus in game days) dementia episodes will cause any number of negative status effects to proc for 6 minutes (hunger, nausea, weakness, mining fatigue, darkness and later blindness)
9. forgetting respawn location: every dementia episode, there is a 5% chance that the old man will forget where his spawn point is, which causes you to lose your base forever sometimes. He even forgets that you can't spawn in the nether sometimes!

We are currently in the process of putting my 68 y/o step mother in a nursing home because dementia has turned her brain into moosh. This exactly how her days are now. Except she doesn't take her vicodin. I do.

Since you love playing Minecraft as physically challenged people, why don't you play as a "Fiscally" challenged individual? You are in crippling debt, and among other things, if you don't pay your bills your property will be repossessed. (Perhaps the repo men can be reskinned pillager raids?) @@anthonyoliver418 I got it. Instead of heart attacks like the others, they collapse of malnutrition. Blindness, nausea, being stuck in place until you tweet on your cellphone about how much healthier you are than omnivores. If you accidentally pick up an animal product, that vegan teacher comes running at you with a knife.
The benefits are: you can eat plain wheat and grass seeds, and if you tweet enough you earn a blue checkmark which makes you a super vegan

You should do a Minecraft playthrough as a soldier suffering from PTSD
Pros:
Slightly more damage to enemies with any weapon (swords, bows and crossbows)
Harvest resources slightly faster (permanent efficiency)
Ability to traverse terrain (crouching, going prone and climbing blocks without ladders)
Slightly higher durability to punches, arrows and explosions. (Blast Protection II or I will do fine as well as Projectile Protection I or II)
Lucky drops out of mobs (Looting I or II even though its a war crime)
Sneaking on a mob from behind while crouched can give you a 50/50 chance to kill it in one hit (assassination)
Cons:
Every tool & weapon you use runs out of durability twice as fast than usual (Efficiency)
You start hearing random things around you (pillager horn, creeper hiss, ghast screams, and Music Disc 13 or 11, even the dreaded Cave noises above ground).
Random mobs can spawn on around you, but when you kill them they turn into an innocent villager and wisp away as an illusion (Delusions)
You are unable to sleep on beds therefore you have to substitute for a campfire to keep yourself through the night. (Insomnia from guard duty)
Potions are required to keep yourself sane from your PTSD (pharmaceuticals)
Travelling to the Nether or End doubles your PTSD episodes (It is literally war in there)
Random deaths if you have a bow, crossbow or a sword in your hotbar (Game over screen from being unable to live with the guilt of your crimes, from PTSD built up too much)

I like how this challenge insinuates old people can't go up or down stairs, but *can* jump an entire cubic meter straight up lol.
Challange idea: prime inventory challange. You get 2 dirt when you spawn for the 1st time. If the number of items in your inventory is not a prime number at any point, you will lose your world permanently. (NOTE: items in your 4 crafting slots DOESN'T count, but items in your offhand, your armor and items in any other slot DOES count)

I was a math major in college, this idea seems very interesting. Keeping it prime while collecting ender pearls and blaze rods would be difficult!
@@troglodyte480 also, you have to not die. Because if you die, you lose all your items. When you lose all your items, you have 0 items in your inventory. 0 is not a prime number so that means...
By the way, if you are going to do this, I think using backups to undo your mistakes is fair game considering how hard the challange is.
By the way, did you ever wondered how does the datapack check if a given number is prime or not? Here is how: this datapack uses an algorithm called "trial division". To check if a number N is prime, all we need to do is check if N is divisible by prime numbers less than or equal to sqrt(N).
In minecraft, you can have at most 37×64+4=2372 items in your inventory. (36 slots in inventory, 1 slot in offhand and 4 armor slots)
sqrt(2372)=48.703
Here is all prime numbers less than that: 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47
The prime number after 47 is 53.
So, basically if the number is less than 53, it checks if the number is equal to any of these numbers listed above. If it is, it is a prime number. If not, it is not a prime number.
If the number is greater than or equal to 53, then the datapack checks if the number is divisible by any of the numbers above. If it is, the number is not prime. If it isn't, it is a prime number.

-What is a sleep schedule? (The timeframe of which you can sleep will be random; sometimes it will be normal, other times not so much and you can only sleep when all daily academic responsibilities has been satisfied)
-academic responsibilities (must do side tasks as coursework to maintain good grades or face getting disowned by your parents aka insta death)
-Low energy (If your saturation is empty, you cant run and will get mining fatigue and you can only fill your saturation with energy drinks however this will cause temporary nausea)
Bonus: tech reliant (you cannot craft from memory, you can only use minecraft’s craftingtable built in crafting handbook to make items.)

Btw if you have an effect on you, you can give it the 'true' modifier to hide the bubbles. For example:
/effect give @p minecraft:slowness 1 99999 true
Which will give you infinite hidden slowness since 99999 duration is considered infinite by the game (inf may also work but not in every version I think)

These days you don't even need to be old to have dementia. That's been my struggle since I was a kid. It turns out that apparently there's a vitamin d deficiency that mimics the symptoms of dementia.

You should make a video where you try to beat Minecraft as a Wandering Trader. You can't craft or mine stuff, but you can place them, and the only way to get stuff is to trade with players, trade with villagers or stealing. And pets are your only means of self-defence.
