  • Get those puppy feet and brains confident in changes!
Lots of puppies (who grow up to be dogs), are not raised with confidence in their body awareness and working on different objects / surfaces.
Then we see time and again fears develop in different floor surfaces, stairs, "scary objects", the scale at the vets, etc.
There is so much you can ( AND SHOULD ) work with ASAP to build your puppies confidence, self awareness and trust in you and what you ask of them in easy training sessions like this.
Find items around your home, make or purchase things and get to work putting those puppy feet on everything and anything you can think of that might be "scary".
    Examples:
Bath or tub grip mats - some are soft, some are awkward surfaces with ribs / bumps.
Lay down a gate - walking across a strange surface.
Bubble Wrap - an uneven surface with occasional give / noise.
Boxes of appropriate size / height - slippery, raised surface with some give.
Step stools or platforms - raised surface to promote awareness of body and confidence in climbing.
Half exercise ball - soft with give, but challenging to balance on.
Wobble boards - moving objects can be "scary", start with small sizes and wiggle ability and graduate to more difficulty over time.
Children's play tunnel - "scary" enclosed area with some movement and blocked view. Chairs with sheet draped over can provide a make shift tunnel.
Kiddie pool or other small / short container with plastic bottles, crinkly or noisy items.
The list goes on and on 😊👍!
There are tons of objects and items specifically made for doggy fitness and confidence building available to buy as well!
