    This is so cool! I'm searching for ideas to divide my older kids bedroom and came across this, I wont be using this idea because it would cut out all the window light but it's a really great idea thanks for sharing!

    • @Everblocksystemsblocks
      @Everblocksystemsblocks  Před 5 lety

      You can easily fasten the EverBlock wall to the floor or adjacent wall with a simple L-bracket. However it is not necessary, when building walls we recommend adding side columns into the design on each side which adds much stability to the wall. We've never had a wall fall over by a client.

    These are way too expensive, better and cheaper to just build a wall with simple framing and plywood.

    No there is no way any landlord or Council if you are renting will let you do this, not in England anyway.
    While some landlords, Housing Associations and Councils do allow you to paint or decorate if you are renting. They won't let you do any building work which is what this is.
    Even if you own your home you still cannot do this unless you have planning permission from the council.
    You cannot just knock down walls or put up partition walls, in any rented or a home that you own without permission or planing permission from your council or landlord.
    If you do anything like this in a rented or Council flat you would be breaking the tenancy agreement and can be evicted. And you would also be in trouble with the Council if you were a homeowner and did this without planning permission.
    So what this person is suggesting is just stupid.
    Andrea.

      I am not sure we agree with your assessment. These are in our mind not much different than furniture, bookshelves or other portable, non permanent dividers. They are not affixed to floors, walls, or otherwise. This is not building work.

      Well I know my Housing Association let anyone do this and neither will any other HA or private landlord. As they would class that as building or structural work which they don't allow.
      Anyway why would you want to do that in a rented flat?
      I don't see the point.
      If you 1 bedroom flat is not big enough then move to a 2 bedroom flat.

      +Andrea Borman stop being do serious andrea...its just a TEMPORY solution to give 2 children a bit if their own space for example or maybe if space is needed to be able to share a room for brother and sister for privacy...remember its up in 20 minutes and can be taken down just the same...its NOT permanent....just a divider....DONT panic Andrea...chill out and have a great day :)
