Now if they could just figure out how to make Black Holes for the cymbals and add the triggers we would be in good shape. Thank's for the demo.

I’m only aware of Magnatrack that have a decent cymbal trigger.. never tried them personally though 😅
@@ciniclay Thank's for the info I will Google them.
Zildjian sorta tried it with the Gen16 cymbals but I don't think they did very well. At least we got the L80s out of it though.

RTOM are a great company. They're innovative and really cool people. Great review and playing Samus!
It's always a great video when we get to see you play
thank you dude!!
Thanks for the review. I’m considering turning my acoustic kit into a hybrid, and this setup seems like a good option.
Always enjoy your reviews Samus. Caught the tail end of the Premiere. I think i'll watch it right now. This Black Hole Series is pretty nice, to me the sound was Tight & Precise. Plus, i like them because the Toms and Snare are solid black.💀🤘
Very cool. These mesh heads remind me of the best aftermarket heads made for the rockband drumset. They were also made out of mesh, I never had them though.
that looks like the best low volume/dual purpose device that I have seen so far.....great tutorial! love your playing goes without saying 66
I just ordered everything & can't wait to try it out.
What an awesome idea. Samus you’re the man! Ohhh yuuurrrr
Great video. Love how quite the heads sound alone. That first play along, made me fall in love with Meinl's Dark Custom set. When I saw them on Meinl's channel, doing an overhead view for the first time. I went on ordered their 9 piece set. Love them on my kit.
“Quiet”?
@@brianwilson7928 yeah sorry about that. My thoughts didn't get wrote down. The heads are quite at the beginning. Need to edit that.
Your drum and symbol configuration is beautiful.
Wow, those are bad ass! Love how easy they are to set up.
These are amazing and it's just what I've been after for years!!
Oh NICE!! Stoked to check em out! 🥁
These are exactly what I’ve been waiting for as I was kind of looking at electronics that since I’m moving out of my mountain studio into the city with houses way too fucking close. I’m just curious about the response of the heads. But for that price I guess I’ll find out for myself! I appreciate it Samus….Also I gotta say every time I watch one of your videos I miss my long naps!
Can't believe that I had the black holes for three years and I just discovered the existence of their own triggers, for someone like me who've never used triggers and only played on acoustic kits for three decades, this is like when I discovered that we can watch CZcams on our phones
Pretty awesome system, and as you said surprisingly accurate!
Awesome review as usual Samus it's a good thing I didn't purchase these triggers I came really close to purchasing them without knowing that they were meant just for RToms I would have purchased them just because they fit on my Deccabon's thanks!
I feel a personal connection to RTOM as my name is ATOM
Ajajaja🎉
Wow those triggers make a whole Lotta difference from when you were playing it without the triggers that’s awesome
Damn that looks nice, top review Samus
Great video..I'm sold I need to get these mesh heads. Nicely done ✅
It's nice that they made their own triggers for these. Really next level shit. Ohhhh yurrrrr
Samus I never been a fan of triggers but I think you are starting to change that 😆
You’re awesome dude thanks for being you
@@morbidmanmusic I love the sound of acoustic drums I wouldn’t
@@BIGDADDYBALLZ420 You could always just turn them off or remove them. It's awesome to have any kits sound you want, without needing to buy tons of different drums.
@@hhaste I already have a shit ton of drums I’m addicted 🤷♂️😅
@@BIGDADDYBALLZ420 LOL
Thanks for this video Samus. I've been waiting for quite some time to convert my acoustic kit, and now I'm totally going to go this route and have the best of both worlds.....can we HAVE IT? Id' say so.
Thanks for an awesome vid on these! Just ordered some. Can't wait! We run ddrum triggers through slate at my church but my heads and triggers just aren't cutting it... Random side note: I wonder why modules even as good as Roland can't sound as good as some of these plugins lol. Oh well.
Man I truly like this guy, what a player and I like his video content.
Missed you man!
Thanks for doing this video. I am a total amateur. I'm totally psyched about this system and using the miking and software.
i think this video unfortunately shows how bad the triggers are. listen closely there are absolutle no dynamics, even tho he is a professional player. the only dynamics you hear are from the cymbals. its very very bad
amazing! all the hard work of converting from A to E drums is now gone! Definitely gonna have to get me a set oh yurrrrrrrrr
that's pretty damn cool...works like a sound damper as well....
Just watching you drum, cameras on that BEAUTIFUL set, makes me so happy. XD I haven't owned a set in years, I broke my Sabien symbals and Ludwig 5 piece set, I just hope someday I can get a set again with all the trimmings! X)
thank you! I hope you can get a set again too :)
@@66Samus I bet I will! 😁👍🏻
Great editing Love the triangle sound you added On top of the hi hat on the 2nd song 🎶 which was pretty cool, who does that or is that an original I like it (💩sound right now) love your channel
Very funny.
I'm digging this concept, OH yurr!
Wow, they sound so awesome! What an insane drummer you are! My ears can barely catch up
thank you dude!!!
@@66Samus Of course! Really motivating to want to start drumming!
Hey Samus big fan keep up the great work yurr
sounds awesome. What a deal
Hey Samus! I just wanted to say that you are probably the best metal player that I’ve ever seen on CZcams. Thank you for making my day, as a drummer, so much better!
I am definitely not anywhere near the best hahaha, but thank you so much for the kind words, my friend
Modest much? lol. You are amazing. Please don’t think anything else. Ohhhhhh yurrrrrr
Hey brother, 1 legged drummer here, I just had to say I loved the reaction video of E.E.S. The thing that gets me about this guy is he makes playing this way look effortless. He play this way taking a nap. But don't cut yourself short. You brother are one hell of a drummer. So you can't play like him, NO ONE CAN. Keep the videos coming brother. SEX !!!!!
THAT SMOOTHNESS
you have certainly improved your drumming
Typically I wouldn't consider buying something like this, but after watching this I'll have to think it over again. Great explanation.
Very thorough.
I mean, if you really like them, then they are definitely worth at least trying!! Thanks for the review buddy 🤘
I'm no drummer (wish i was) but i love the instrument and this set looks the best i have seen. All black, love it
Getting some pretty decent dynamics
WE LOVE YOU SAMUS, YOU BAHEE \M/
Dude! You fucking kicked those drums in the calf! i feel like you should make covers of songs with all your different e drum kits, the would be a great way to show us how they perform it crazy metal situations, But great video
Sounds great!! What was the 2nd song in your play along jam? I was really digging it.
This dude shreds.
i really need those
can't wait to the next live
Thanks for this video. Been looking for a cheaper conversion for weeks. I'm sold!
you are welcome my friend :)
Awesome is all I can say I want some!
I'm fing buying these
You kinda look like the metal version of Dan Larson from The channel Toy Galaxy. Love both channels keep up the good work.
Have all the gear to start playing with this, stoked! Curious if you've found any dual zone trigger that would stay in place on the rtom BH for a snare, that's the only gotcha with a setup like this, is the lack of a dual zone snare. I've seem some folks have luck with a roland RT-30HR Dual Zone trigger for the snare, curious if you've tried anything like that? Love the vids, keep them coming!
Thanks Cousin IT!!!!!!! Didn’t know you could play!!!! 🤔
Didn’t know you had arms……
Awesome!!!!!!!!
These are so cool
I thought for a moment BH stood for BA HEE
Great video! Since I’ve seen you use both
Would you recommend these heads and triggers or the LV heads and Ddrum chrome elite triggers?
Wanting something for practice and recording at home. I wasn’t sure how the dynamics and sensitivity felt on these.
This guy rocks!!!
no you :)
Dope! And fk dude your drumming flioors me!
thank you so much man
kind of surprised its taken you this long to play with the meinl tracks lol. figured they would have asked you to do one a while ago since you are an artist of theirs
Hi Samus what was the songs you played along , second at 4:27 and last one at 5:20 they are FREAKIN AWESOM! Big respect to you man, you funiest drumer on the planet! :D
My 6 year old daughter said to be careful not to get your hair caught in the crapper hah!!! Lol! Your great man love your contento!!
Never been a fan of triggers! I think you might be changing that! I think these will work great on my drum kit! Also (love your type of humor.)
Sick 🤘
You wouldn't happen to have the settings for your ddti for the rtom lv mesh heads and ddrum chrome elite triggers would you. I've been struggling to get the right settings and wanted to compare with some one else. I got the triggers and heads to try to quiet my drums some since my daughter was born and doesn't like loud sounds.
What kind of pedals were you using? With the black drum heads which sound amazing, I couldn’t see the brand name. Plus you were playing really really fast. Sounds great!🥁
I like this sound
you should try Glenn Fricker's new sample pack, I've heard its pretty good
At 4:27 .. could you let us know which song's playthrough was that ? Sounded so atmospheric and pretty!
im learning drums right now and on the set that i use they have these on there and i always wondered why 😭 black hole heads not the other thing
Hey samus im a newer drummer can you make a video on how to get better hands? I’m getting double bass down but what I mean by hands is wrist motion for blast beats how to practice to increase stamina and wrist strength and precision etc
Do these misfire? How do they compare to standard? It looks like you didn’t have to cover your heads in sticky hands and foam. I’m torn between buying the RTOM LV mesh head combined with ddrum triggers. Or getting this black hole trigger setup..I like the idea of having the option of using the ddrum triggers without the silencers, which I wouldn’t be able to do if I went with the black hole triggers
Does anyone know the last 2 songs he was playing? Tropical Thunder was the first, but I’m curious what the other ones are? Super cool..
Holly F#ck! Must have! thx for showing this!
on instagram i was like damn those are thic hoops lol but i get it now. they definitely cool for what they are but ill be sticking with that ole fashion!
Hi Samus. Great review, do you know some cymbals triggers? Is it possible?
I have the lv mesh heads with Roland RT triggers into the DDTI interface. I can't ever seem to get them dialed in correctly 🤷
Random question, have you heard about/thought about checking out the Extinction Level Event Master Kit by Spectre Digital?
III NNEEDD THEESSEE SONGS YURRRR!!!!!
I wish this type of low volume tech had been around when I were a lad.
Hey.how i mixed the ddrum ddti and the mics for the cymbals?
I love the video.thank you!
Does anyone know what this guys settings are on ez drummer? They sound amazing!
Cool video
pushing them "snuggly into the rim"... oooh urrr
Great trigger system dude but i'm sure this perfection and much easier installing than anything else is propably have a much bigger cost effecitivity!! You said 75$ for the pack all??? That is awesome dude!! Whats included in the pack? Triggers only in pack of 5 are logical price considered that are mono sensors! But the black hole pads that fits on maybe have much bigger cost maybe near to 200$ per 5 pads??
Dude your frickin badass!..Yeh
At last! At trigger for rtoms black holes!
You should be so stressed at the end of the video cause of the video's end come 🤣🤣
hey man whats that second song you played called? I've heard it in other videos but I can never find the name of it
That’s insane
What's the tracks you play from 4m28s in?
I tried ro shazam them and the dumb thing couldn't identify them. They kinda sound like the soundtrack to "oblivion"
Anyone know?
So I think you’re my doppelgänger. Been told this a lot, and I don’t know how to handle it…because they’re right. 😂
coole sounds
You should really do a video on the yahmaha ed10 also does it sound quiet to everyone else except for you
Does the music and trigger sound both go to the headphones 🎧.
Cool video, you are really smooth on those drums 👏 What song is that at 4:28 please?
thank you dude! They are all Meinl backing tracks from their site :)
@66Samus ahh yes "little phaser boy" and "back to mars" both by Kyle May. Methinks Samus likes his ideas yurrrrrr
Scotty. See you tmr on the buzz
