happiness falls yes!!! probably my own favorite book of the year. I recommend checking out Shark Heart, i know you aren't the biggest fan of 'weird' books most of the time but that one is so beautiful, i think you might actually end up enjoying it!

I loved Stars in Your Eyes too- was a pleasant surprise because I don't generally like stories about actors but I love the author so wanted to check it out. SO glad I did! I also loved Divine Rivals, Love Theoretically, and Yours Truly. And absolutely adored both Wishing Game and Happiness Falls.
Have you read Check and Mate by Ali Hazelwood yet? It's YA and about chess vs stem - another win from Ali for me.
Haven’t tried Check and Mate yet but I added it on to my last BOTM box so I should be getting to it soon! 😊

I do all my reading through Libby and Kindle Unlimited when I can get it for free. Out of your books I have 🎧 to Rootless, The Only One Left, The Last Word, The Wishing Game, Happiness Falls. Happiness Falls was my favorite of these as well. I feel similarly to you about Rootless. I wasn't sure if I really liked it because the tough content but I think about it a lot.

-It's a cozy mystery that had me laughing out loud. I highly recommend the audiobook. Vera is hilarious.
