This is Heaven! I don't know any other way to put this. I heard this a few years ago, but this has to be the best performance I've heard. Can you imagine how this would sound in Paradise? The voices of many waters praising God and chanting Aleluia!
This group is inspiring no matter what music they are singing…..
For me it's the magnificent harmonic sound they're able to create. Quite magic!
As long I am able to listen to such beautyfull music, I feel deeply alive and happy. I am glad having heard from you and got the chance to listen to the concerts of London Spring Festival, Thank you so much!
Already in love with this album. Superb singing from the finest choral group in the world
The piece, Sleep, makes me cry every time I hear it. Eric's Virtual choir made me feel like we could save the world. And this beauty continues it. Achingly beautiful.
Thank you so much for constantly offering compositions that lie outside "the usual"-works that challenge both the ear and the intellect, and that ultimately satisfy both. You are a treasure.
60+ years ago, in high school, I sang Britten's "Hymn to St Cecilia" in the New Jersey All-state Chorus. You can imagine how the text moved this adolescent. I haven't heard it in the past six decades. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for this transcendent rendition.
You guys are the greatest choir I've ever heard/seen. Could listen to your performances 24/7 and still couldn't get enough. The precise of team work that you're showing us is unbelievable. I am now on my knees and praying for more musicians like you. THANK YOU!
Sublime as per usual and music for the soul. Wonderful. Thank you.
What a Tenderness with minuscule precision. Oh, how precious. From Bolivia with thanks and tender Love.
@Pieter de Raad you write such beautiful prose. You are a poet. WIth warm wishes from Australia
Voces8 is a flock of singing Angels with fluorescent spheres. Glorious.

Dear Andrew thanks for your comment. I am not a professional poet nor pianist but I cannot help loving singing and playing my 130 year old Schiedmayer and Sons grand piano.
I am preparing now an Humoresque based on Send in the Clowns in Spanish.
Love and Yours,
Pieter
Bravo!!! Bravissimo!!! For me, the best track is Hymn to St.Cecilia! What a gift!!
The incredible dissonance! Love love love!
JS Bach's Cantata 150 was like ascending into the heavens on glorious waves of sound.
My cats are sitting and listening.... it is always a good test!!
No ita a tribute to your attention. Cats disapprove of these human activities sadly paired with listening to music at home: toilet breaks, dusting, tidying, singing along, tea or coffee making and consumption. Their expections are shut up, sit still and LISTEN!
Hello, dear members of the VOCES8. Thank you for giving the warmest consolation during this dramatic year 2020. Still best music available and many happy things to experience. Thank you ❤️
Made my day... Got bad news today. Y’all warmed my heart and eased the pain. Peace
Take care. Peace to you also, friend.
May this beautiful music comfort your soul friend
The Lord’s peace be with you Mr. Eckert.
Music always heals me.
I love you guys so much. So happy this was all compiled into one album. Thank you ❤️
You are a treasure at the time in our history you make,y day go better my heart is filled with the love for music voice and unity the universal language of love
Excelling. Eternally. VOCES8💎 Congratulations on your 15th Anniversary!
Your voices collectively bring so much peace to an weary soul. Thank you VOCES8
Thank you for this! Love this album ... listened to all four "chapters" just yesterday and looking forward to getting the compilation. The mix of older works with contemporary is great: expanding our ears is wonderful. I'm sure some will find it difficult, but then some called Beethoven's ninth "cacophony" back when it came out. So I say, "Grow ears, GROW!" Thank you!
Best choral soprano ...in the world.
Perfect harmony in the distinction of the individual voices. Very beautifull
What a wonderful mix of old, classic, and new. Thanks for making us better
I received the Album today. I am delighted with it. It's put together beautifully. It's well worth the long wait on pre-order. And, of course the music is just wonderful. I love the quotation by Arvo Part:" The most sensitive musical instrument is the human soul. The next is the human voice."
Beautiful pieces. Congrats to all involved. Made my day :)
They sound like I imagine heaven to feel.
Superb!! Great collection of pieces. Cant't stop listening to you guys. Big thank you from your #1 fan from Amsterdam.
Thank you for this preview, allowing us a view at how your wonderful talents work together to make such impressive performances. Looking forward to receiving the new CD packet when it arrives! Brilliant work with fantastic variety!
So peaceful. Beautiful vibe.
Le Voci degli Angeli !! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏
Great work! Pure perfection and harmony! Model of humanity.
Cudowne glosy. Chylę czoło. Jesteście wspaniali. PL
YES! It is coming! Bach is here. Thanks a lot!
Magnifique. Beauté pure.
Your music is a great comfort.
Fabulous. Andrea in "The Road Home": sublime. I can't get enough of this recording.
That Harris is really something else. I think it’s even better in single voice-though I wonder how many choirs can pull this off. Bravo, all.
I was wondering that exact thing so I looked up every Harris performance I could find on CZcams, including several excellent choirs. Obviously, none could come close to the clarity, precision and perfection of VOCES8, but interestingly, the one that came closest to my ear was the Trinity College Choir. As a part of the British Church Choral Music Tradition that I am sure every member of VOCES8 grew up with, you could hear the seeds of the training that they each received.
@@saetmusicIndeed, Molly, the current 2nd sop. was a choral scholar at Trinity! All of them except for the second bass and 1st tenor were choristers
Really looking forward to hear you life in Belgium somewhere some day. But hope very soon.

Montréal... have you planned come to Montréal??
I discovered VOCES8 during lockdown via CZcams and have found deep solace and joy in your music ever since. Really enjoy watching the beautifully shot videos and the web shows Barney. I checked your website but couldn't find the link to the physical 4-disc book. Help! How can I order a copy (without using Amazon)?
Bob Donaldson go to VOCES8.foundation and they will email you
@@AndrewDean777 Thanks. Meanwhile I found a non-Amazon site and ordered 2 CD After Silence, but may not be the book version.
Magnificent.
We have tickets for the unique concert in Belgium! Tienen, our small town, will see you on 21/11/21 🥰
Glorious
WOW
Beautiful!
Impresionante grupo coral!
Super!
Bliss. ❤️
Glorious 🕊
Listening to the Nunc Dimittus I wonder if anyone else hears
resonances with Preisner’s Requiem for my friend?
The Mahler! The gorgeous Mahler!
C'est magnifiqué!
❤️❤️❤️
Great ensemble!
We need a video of the Mahler being performed! Who is the soloist? Is it Euan? Just the most gorgeous thing ever! (I mean the song, but Euan is awfully cute.)
wunderschön
A bouquet of epiphanies. Before you sang we were deaf.
Hello. Are You planning to sell Your music via bandcamp in the future? It would be nice.
Beautiful ❤️❤️
Could you sing Svrsi stopi moje by Krsto Odak? 🥰
Lyrics?
Uf sí, voces de ángeles……..
You guys sound sooo amazing but I can’t understand the words you’re saying
I feel the same dude, don't worry
Many of the pieces are in languages other than English.
Is this music of Eric Whitacre? @joshjones6674
Von Voces8 kann ein Chorsänger das Aufeinanderhören lernen.
Superb performance, What a choir. But maybe you shouldn't be wasting so much of your time with Eric Whitacre. You do him too many honours.
Probably very well performed, as always with this excellent ensemble; but selection chosen sounds to me like scraping one's fingernails on a slate blackboard. What a waste of such incredible talent on such a hideously ugly composition! Love these guys, but regret their infatuation with such challenging but ugly pieces, which assault the ears with all the warmth of a buzz saw.
A breathtakingly stupid and ignorant comment. If you don't like the more contemporary pieces that's fine, but to criticise them in such over the top terms is inexcusable.
@@garethwatson874 Then don't excuse it. I am welcome to my opinion, and you are to yours. So be it!
Like it or not, beauty is somewhat subjective. Some songs are not my my preference either, but I would say that the interpretive nature of some poems lends itself to that sort perhaps. Some things are an aquired taste too.
You make three observations, Gary - all of which reflect on you personally. Firstly, your incredibly condescending "probably very well performed". Simply no comment. Second: "a hideously ugly composition". Which one are you referring to? And why? Third "their infatuation with such challenging but ugly pieces". Really sorry that your response to some sublime and varied music doesn't enable you to get beyond hearing "fingernails on a slate blackboard".
Anybody want to take a vote?
I see what you are doing. You are saying that you have your opinion and can express it no matter how hurtful it might be to this "excellent ensemble". But they can't have their opinions (as expressed in the music they chose as worthy of performance) that might be hurtful to you (assaulting your ears) without being ridiculed and put down? I call double standard.
