Hi.Please what is the meaning of "Chiller free" apartment ? I am interested in a studio in Dubai Marina and I found that on dubizzle.Thanks
Hi, in some buildings you need to pay extra money for chiller as this building use service from the third party. When it's chiller free it means that this building has it's own cooling system. You will need to pay only for electricity as per consumption.
I think this is a frequent misused term
if you are leasing then yes chiller free is an advantage as the cooling cost will be included in the service charges paid by owner.
However, if you are buying then you will definitly pay higher service charge to cover cooling.
so in both situation check the rent and service charges and compare it with the market.
the downside of this is that your paying extra rent or service charge without having the option to control your consumption
