The entry-level Cadillac gets better for 2024, with updated styling and some new tech. Is it enough to compete against the BMW X1 or Mercedes-Benz GLA? Let us know what you think!
This SUV is perfect
It should be a popular seller, when we first reviewed in back in 2019 we said it would quickly take off to be a best-seller for Cadillac.
Beautiful in Snow White
Certainly looks sharp and helps to hide some of the dirt.
We are currently looking at this car. Do you really have to use premium fuel?
Not necessarily, I got it a month ago and have been filling it up with just regular gas and no complaints. I’m loving this baby!
The Cadillac equinox...
Completely different platform and utterly different in every way but it’s all academic anyway as Cadillac is discontinuing the XT4 in Feb 2025.
As long as it isn't another Cimarron!
@@PRNTestDriveLooks like the Chinese-built Cadillac Optiq is the slotted replacement.
The thought the XT4 styling is nicer than the 2024 BMW X2 that I eventually bought, but with both cars heavily optioned it cost $5k more than the BMW, ($54k versus $49k before price haggling). Also it did not drive as responsively as even the 28i version of the X2, let alone the M spec 35i. The only advantage the Caddy had besides styling was the ventilated seat option which is not offered on the X2.
I don’t know why, with two cars so similar in size, equipment and specifications, the domestic car would cost 10% more than a car that is made in Germany, and has to be transported all the way to California.
@@Palaemon44you didn’t haggle enough and there are programs available for this vehicle to offset the cost pre haggling. Your BMW maintenance costs will be much more than this vehicle also.
