Congrats Vdrum Tips! I love seeing the evolution of your channel. Actually, from day 1, you were making professional videos. And I remember being astonished when you started that conversion series, I knew all the work that went into it. You make it look all look easy ;) here's to 20,000 🍷
Thanks, also for your countless shoutouts:D
I do the shout-outs because you're videos are too good, to NOT mention :) keep up the good work :)
A very big thank you from Toledo Ohio. I couldn't have completed my acoustic to electric conversion without the help of your videos. And I wouldn't trade my kit for anything! So thank you very much
Thank you very much, this means a lot. Feel free to send me some pics of your set to info@v-drumtips.com. I am always curious:)
Dear Marcel, congrats for reaching 10,000 subscribers! It's so well deserved. It's not only about the pure amount of subs, but you probably helped much more people around the world with your videos and knowledge - including myself. And beside that, I got to know a good friend & I appreciate all the hours we talked in the past years: about e-drums, music, even politics. ;)
The e-drum community may still be small, but you play a big role.
(By the way: You should have shown yourself at least for the last sentence ;))
Thanks, Mike! I have shown myself in the short band clip for 3 seconds:D
Brilliant work! Keep it up!
This is my first comment to your videos, and I'm writing just to say thanks for what you did with this channel. You're right, a hi-quality channel dedicated to v-drums was missing before your came.
I have to say I love to hear your voice and I think it is very pleasant to listen to! Even if I experienced the self-hate affair, you can be assured you have a really nice voice, so happy to have you on stage for audio also!
As for the "wishlist", I'm a DIYer like you and what I'd REALLY like to see is a series of hi-quality disassembling/reassembling videos of quality stuff, like the new Alesis Strike Pro toms for example... it would be nice to learn about industry-level design patterns and solutions.
Even videos about materials that showcase the physical/mechanical aspects (for example, how a bass-drum cushion behaves under compression, what the materials seems to be, etc...)
Anyway I understand this is very costly, and no industry producer would send you free stuff for this type of endeavor, so... well, back dreaming about it ;)
Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your nice words! Am I right that you want me to take apart stuff? I thought about a scientific mesh head test with a lever construction, measured mesh head tension and a slow-motion camera. Maybe that is something.
Vdrum Tips yep, thinkin' about this kind of stuff. What mostly appeals to me is to get a taste of what kind of design and materials are used in industry.
For example I wonder how soft/dense the r-drums decouplers are. Can I do something similar with neoprene sheets and a 30mm steel washer, just to say? What about the materials of foam cones? And the bass drum cushion?
Your take on mesh heads is great also, most of all if you can map materials, mechanical parameters and the feeling when played.
A bit too scientific, uh? =D Actually it would be a killer series, really helping DIYers, but maybe upsetting some honest seller who spent sound money in R&D, I guess...
"I should've said no in the first place"
bwagahahahaha
Congrats V-Drum Tips
you rock man
Thanks!
I too enjoy to watch your films very much, together with 65 drums you help spreading unbiased 'know how' on the subject of electronic drums. please continue with that :-)
Thank you! That means a lot to me. I would not make videos without people like you who support me:)
Hi, don't stop posting your great videos!
Thanks for your dedication and excellence, man!
I am following your work from Chile
Thank you, nice to see that people from so far away watch this stuff:)
Love your channel and website. You have been a great help in my understanding of edrums and how to use them in the setup.
I also was one of those guys that hated edrums. 2011 I got the bug and was frustrated with my Yamaha. Sadly it's gone. But I am in the process of getting my own roland module
Cool, what module do you want?
Vdrum Tips I have been using a TD50 at work and would love to have one of my own someday with the snare and ride.
All in good time I guess. It's big money
Wow, what job is that, that allows you to use a TD-50? :)
Vdrum Tips I am a drummer in the army
great videos !!!!can you please make a tutorial how to set up the edrum live on stage I mean which is the correct set up to have a good sound we need Id box ,we connect direct L and R the mixer or to connect saperate the kick and all the other together ?thanks
I am just a beginner but I learn a lot from your channel. thanks for all your time and effort in doing this!! 👍👍
Congrats for the 10k 😃👌🏻👏🏻
Thanks!
Congrats! We hope that you keep the good work! Thank you!
Thanks Edu
35k now ! current year is 2024 and please upload again
Congratulations!
I love your channel. Thanks so much for all your work!
Thanks, that means a lot!
No, thank you. Like good movies, it is better to have story/content over quality. You've evolved into a very respectable subject matter expert where I go to learn. I like both of your voices. Keep up the fantastic work you provide here.
I am very glad to hear that you value quality over quantity. That is my future approach. Thanks again!
20k now yay
Congratulations! I hope you can discuss with Edrum Midi to Ipad
I have a cheap Edrum (Hitmand HD10) and i connect it to my Ipad using DrumsXD app to give it a better sound , tho I'm having issue with the Hi Hat Control and Choke
I hope you can help with this or any idea as many people cant use Drum Software or afford better module
More power!
I have an Ipad no. I can check if it works. The issues you experience are related to the kit itself. The cheap brands are simple not as good.
The best way to afford a better module is to buy it used.
Thank you for your reply :)!! Congratulations again on your channel , Really big help for me, I'm planning to build the same project as you did, very inspiring :D!
is there a video where u actually play these drums? U mentioned something about a sound sample video, in one of ur other vids, but I couldn't find it.
Yes, it is here: czcams.com/video/LvFZaunql58/video.html It is not samples though, it is a modified setting bundle.
So happy for you! Congrats!
I have an old td-9 with a crappy ride cymbal.
I need advice, thanks
Thank you! I loved my TD-9. For me, it is one of the best modules. What is wrong with the cymbal?
Vdrum Tips thx for replying.
random triggering. (Different sounds on each hit) and doesn't always trigger.
Thx
I guess you use a CY-13. Make sure the cables are ok and connected to the right inputs. You might upgrade to a CY-15, it is much better.
congrats :-)
And greetings from good old germany ;-)
Danke sehr!
The best channel, congrats!!!
Thanks, but the best channel i already "Primitive Technology". Nothing is better than that one, I promise:D
I'm not a drummer, nor will I ever be. However I love following those diy projects and love to make stuff myselfe also.. just not for youtube ;)
keep up the good work.
Thanks! Did not expect that people who do not play drums watch this:D
Vdrum Tips I guess I'm interested in to many things. Anyway congrats on the 10k subs. Very impressive.
Thank you!
cool channel man, congrats
Thank you:)
Thanks for your channel and all of the work you put into it. I always wondered about the girl's voice and thought maybe you didn't speak English. I too have played mant
Many different kits and have learned much about what works and doesn't work! You have helped me with some of the problems I have run into so Thanks again.
Thanks man! Glad you could participate out of my work:)
Hey there. I as a viewer prefer quality over quantity.
Good luck with your channel and I am happy for you :)
That is nice to hear! Thanks for your kind words!
Your channel is very instructive 👌
i want to have this set up on my roland to-11kv
Sarah Asher Geronimo Adminstrator Which Setup?
3:10 Video Setup
Well, the TD-11 module has not as many inputs, but you can use such a shell set for sure.
Do vídeos on how to make a e drum look cool
I'd say a accoustic conversion makes it look cool.
Vdrum Tips yes, but a cheap way?
The cheap and good way is to learn how to build high-quality stuff and to search for bargains on a regular basis. This is how I did it:)
I wonder how much the custom drum you built would cost if you had to sell it
I want to Play that Kit pls
Just come over and have a go!
Vdrum Tips can you make a video about the roland triggers ?
I do not have them, but Justin from 65drums did a test already. All I can say is that they are not nearly as good as centre triggers.
Vdrum Tips ok thanks man👌
Wonderful Channel..!!👌👌
2:00 hahahahaha!!! there was a time when I though that you where transgender because the mismatch between your name and your voice (sorry)
ahahahahaha shhh don't spill the secrets. ;D
I am a drumgender;)
@@Vdrumtips1 The nice female voice and the hairy arms gave me a few bad dreams.
