Growing up in a western society most of us we taught a ritualistic version of faith which was quickly dismantled by a secular western curriculum which asked you to question everything and think for yourself
Essentially you were being asked to reconcile faith and reason an impossible task which they greatest thinkers never achieved ...
Unfortunately growing up in the west most of tried to look for answers in the secular agnostic marterialistic framework of the west....
We thought truth lay in the sense perception ...
This just left our hearts empty...
We tried to rationalise the truth...
This left us with sceptism and doubt...
Ultimately we realised that you cannot reconcile faith and reason..
You need to understand the western educational curriculum is not neutral
But based on the secular humanistic thinkers of the 18th century..
They believe human reason is the absolute criterion (furqan) for truth,...
In the west reason replaced divine revelation has the absolute criterion for truth and gave birth to the age of enlightenment and the secular humanistic culture we were bought up in..
In order to address the question of proof of god... you need to step out side the secular framework and question its rational framework...
can human reason prove or disprove the existence of god..
Immanual Kant critique human reason and came to the conclusion you cannot proof or disprove the existence of god...
Faith is experential and based on a leap and unconditional surrender to the will of Allah..
Acts of obedience increase you iman and fill the void in your heart..
We have a criterion for truth (furqan) which is divine revelation..
We have a criterion for truth which helps us distinguish truth from falsehood.
We have a criterion for truth which helps us distinguish absolute from relative truth..
You need to make a sure what is your absoulte criterion for truth
What is your furqan ...
Choose human reason and you end with sceptism and doubt,,,
Choose divine revelation and through acts of unconditional surrender and acts of obedience based on an absolute moral framework you end up with faith....
We have a hierachy for truth...
Quran
Sunna
Independant reason..
The framework for the west is human reason..
The biggest question of the 21st century what is your absolute criterion for truth..
It is a struggle between reason or revelation...
We believe divine revelation is the absolute criterion for truth...
We believe in the balance of love and justice..
The shariah is tempered by the spirit of mercy .
