Ya i don't understand why a band puts what they do on a record. Usually the really good stuff gets left off and unknown. Record people company people just don't know better?
If not my favorite KISS song its close. Very awesome to hear this 51 years later. The song to me always sounded raw and rough too... Just like the song title that it is. BLACK DIAMOND
It's like hearing the best KISS tribute... because it's KISS before the "Hype & Glory!" It's strange how there is so little difference in recording quality between these demos and the ultimate studio recording for the first three albums.
Having just listened to the Eddie Kramer demo of Watching You, and commenting about how much better I liked it and have preferred it over the album version and I feel the same way about this version of Black Diamond it's incredible! I don't know why they didn't just leave it like it was, it was perfect the first time! Eddie Kramer the master! I'd love to hear his demo work of the songs that were on Rock and Roll Over which he engineered as well. And their voices of sound so good together on the " ooo, ooo, oooos🎼👊👊
I can't stand the way that Gene and Paul are always slagging Ace and Peter on their musicianship. Ace and Peter are far better musicians than Gene and Paul IMHO. At least in the beginning. Anyone who thinks Peter was a shitty drummer needs to listen to Parasite on the KISS ALIVE album again. Gene and Paul in particular.
The 1st KISS album is their GREATEST!
Peter Criss Fukking Rules!!! What a voice!
Favorite voice of kiss
I love him. He's fuckin' amazing.
Production is so much better than the actual album version, drums and guitars sound so big and live. of course, Eddie Kramer was at the helm.

KISS is just badass.
I love his voice... Peter!!!
Better than the album
Absolutely Awesome 👍. Early kiss songs were the best sounding tunes
I concur

KISS awesome 🎉
Temazo!!!! Siempre me impacta escuchar estos temas que me acompañan desde hace 45 años en versiones mas crudas y espontaneas... Hermoso!!!!
It is great
this group has potential
Yeah they might be big someday.

Pete on lead vocals is awesome! Years ago our drummer was the lead vocalist.
Hardest job in the band
these demos are better than the studio songs
That's because the music industry hasn't got a hold of the band yet and molded them to their liking
Kramer should've engineered and produced EVERY Kiss album from the 1st to the last and the live ones too
This is awsome!!!!

Nice bass lines by Gene...
FILTHY🔥
Petey such a sweetie💔🩸🥊
Peter's vocals are much better here rather than the actual album version. Awesome sauceee.
Definitely PETER CRISS
