Thank you so much! I just finished working on my bike at the shop and in all my excitement to ride I left my gas cap key in the box with all my replacement parts 🤦🏻♂️. I just replaced the gas cap lock and I didn’t put the darn key on my key ring. I pulled up to the gas station to fill up and had no 🔑🤦🏻♂️🙄. So now I’m going to try this method and hopefully it works 🙏🏻

would it work for the ignition to unlock the handle bars?
Honestly I haven't tried it so I don't know.
The ignition is the same key to unlock the gas cap and trunk so why wouldn't it? It may not start though because it doesn't recognize a key and won't fire.

@Turbo Mechanic my ignition is wallered out from someone trying to steal my bike years ago....... Which wasn't a big deal until recently I attached a house key to the key ring that had the motorcycle key on it...... Driving down the road I lost the key out of the ignition of the motorcycle probably from bumps and the weight of the extra key pulling it out of the ignition. My husband was even driving behind me the mile and a half distance we were driving and didn't see it come out of the ignition!?! Silly gravity
