Hi monu👍👍👍
Respected Doctor,
Namaskaar.
I have a friend who was taking care of his 89 years old mother. She passed away a few months back.
During her last four days or so, my friend's mother had recurrent vomiting and most food and medicines including those for high blood pressure and heart problem, came out most of the times, though medicine was given as prescribed by her Ayurveda doctor to stop the vomiting.
Three days before her death, she had temporary tilting of her head and face to one side briefly for some time. After a few minutes her head and face regained normal position. After a few minutes my friend took her to her room to lie down. As she was in the room, my friend's brother and his mother's attendant woman conversed; my friend's brother said to the attendant woman, "When some one's head tilts, it is an indication that death is certain in a few days". The attendant woman replied that a few days before her father died, his head also tilted. Their conversation was in Tamil and my friend's mother knew Tamil. It didn't strike to my friend to ask them not to talk like that.
This happened some time around 11a.m on 19 June 2022. She passed away on 22 June 2022 at about 8 p.m and cremated on the next day.
Following were her blood pressure (BP) and pulse rate (PR) readings during her last few days:
19 June 2022:
9 a.m: BP: 169/85. Pulse Rate: 70.
11.30 a.m: BP: 223/104. PR: 75.
5.20 p.m: BP: 175/74. PR: 90.
20 June 2022:
5.10 p.m: BP: 149/81. PR: 65.
6.55 p.m: BP: 175/90. PR: 77.
21 June 2022:
BP: 178/84. PR: 71.
There was no abnormal heart beat and her temperature was normal.
She passed away on 22 June 2022 at about 8 p.m. and was cremated on the next day.
(My friend says that he read that when a person has kapha, hypothyroidism etc., her BP and PR will decrease. My friend's mother had kapha and hypothyroidism for which she was taking ayurvedic medicines. He also read that when a person has acute worry, depression or fear such as fear of death, dehydration etc., her BP and BR will increase).
Usually my friend's mother's Pulse rate used to be between 50 and 60 for the past two years. The pulse rate increased to about 70 from June 2022 onwards.
Her blood pressure and pulse rate were abnormally high on 19 June 2022 on the day on which the conversation between my friend's mother and the attendant woman took place. But by God's Grace, the blood pressure and pulse rate came down on the next day itself.
Usually my friend's mother used to be calm, with no anger and no irritation. She continued to be calm with no anger or irritation even after hearing the conversation between my friend's brother and her attendant woman.
Even on the day before she passed away, when her attendant woman asked, "Shall we go to the beach?", my friend's mother responded by smiling.
My friend completely forgot about the conversation between his brother and the attendant woman when his mother was alive. He remembered it only a few days ago.
My friend is extremely worried and guilty and thinks that his mother would have heard the conversation between his brother and his mother's attendant woman, and got worried, depressed or afraid of death.
My friend is not worried much about his mother's death. What he is extremely worried is that she would have died due to depression, worry or fear of death, instead of dying peacefully, after hearing the conversation between his brother and the attendant woman.
Do you think that my friend's mother would have died due to depression, worry or fear of death after hearing the conversation between his brother and the attendant woman?
I would be extremely grateful if you can kindly let me know what you think. I and my friend respect your valuable opinion.
Best regards🙏
Sincerely,
Guruprasad.
