Interesting that no mention that Over You was co-written by Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton when they were still together.
The song was inspired by Blake's loss of his brother Richie which he had a hard time getting over something to Miranda's credit helped in Blake's healing process.
Miranda sang it at the CMA awards in April 2012.
And as it turned out Cassadee Pope sang the song in front of Blake Shelton on The Voice USA 2012 which was very befitting.
It was an awesome rendition of the song and very touching indeed.
Cassadee Pope eventually won The Voice 2012.
Maybe I'm biased but I liked Cassadee Pope's version better and it related more to the intent of the song especially for Blake.
