Really good guide, one note though isn't it rageblade kind of not that great to slam? I don't think I would even consider Kaisa as an option if I slam an early rageblade and I like to keep that option open in case ashe is heavily contested.

Yo wtf played a game heavenly got through early game sooo gelid wich I usually struggle with hit an augment with +62 xp and had alune 3 with good items for the first time in TFT lol this video helped me very much although I can’t quite grasp how you would figure this out yourself if there is a new set of TFT, do you math it out or would it be a trial and error kinda angle, I’d assume it’s a combination. Great video tho.

Depends on if your board better fits w.e carry you have. If you have more upgraded story weaver units stick with sivir if you can transition into a sniper ghostly board then do that.

fated is kinda decent even with 5 of em since syndra carry is all u got but its super good with porcelain lissandra and amumu frontline
See I often find myself looking for and playing these openers based on my items, and slamming stuff that will let me 'lean into' a certain 4 cost comp - but it just really seems difficult to actually feel reliable in hitting those units on your rolldown. For example if I open with sivir, and have a Guinsoo to slam rather than LW which is a more universal item; my lv8 is pretty restricted to Ashe; even if lets say I slam more generic ADC items like LW/DB, what do I do if on my rolldown all I find is Syndra, Lillia, Sylas?
I don't know why but this patch feels so difficult to play in this logical way where you plan your lv8 based on whatever 'strong opener' you can build, because so much of the time you can just fail to hit any of them and be contested, or even if not contested still lowroll and be left with a completely opposiute comp you're expected to 'be flex' around and pivot into.
its why you need to be ahead of the curve and be greedy with gold as much as possible. with 2-streaks back, it shouldnt be at all that bad to be 8 at 4-1 and donkey roll till stable.
guinsoo can bee user in azir ,kaisa and synergize it with shojin. I go for shojin and morello every game i can and slam them around
I mean, it's all about your econ management and other factors lol. Not sure what rank you are but you need to start scouting what players are playing, etc. 4-2 roll downs are kind of like a lottery, it's your job to mitigate it as much as possible to get the best odds. If you have a lot of gold, 4-1ing it or even rolling on 3-7 neutrals before everyone else is one way to finesse units. If you have a Guinsoos and you slam it for strongest board and tempo theres nothing wrong with that. Regardless if a lot of people are playing ashe or not, guinsoos or lw/db are still good slams to help you win early and transition into better boards. There's always other options if you miss ashe. You can play irelia or kaisa like I just did where I found Irelia and just played a storyweaver line instead of giga contesting ashe which all players held hands and bot 4 where I went 2nd with a better capped board. You can't really control anything that happens on 4-1 or 4-2 which sounds like what you're trying to do, but you need to make sure you're econing well so you can get to those points and actually roll for those units. I have no idea how much gold you're rolling or when you're even rolling. Loss streak early if your board sucks or try to winstreak and push levels. Dont level on 3-5 to 7 from 6 if your econ is horrible. And don't roll to 0 on 4-2 unless you have to
@@krash6951 I'm your typical low LP Masters hardstuck player so my elo is pretty volatile. But yeah, I agree that there are so many factors, I do think for this lv8 4 cost playstyle you kind of have to either take econ aug 2-1 + loss streak (or highroll winstreak ofc), or combat augment and 12 streak flawlessly into lv8. If you don't get either, you're never going to get to 8 in time with enough money to get the units that match your early slams. Some of the best openers quite clearly lean towards a final lv8 'set' of units.
I def am trying to slam more 'universal' items to reduce this risk. I'm scouting constantly from stage 2 onwards to see what others have slammed. One game I saw 3 Guinsoo slams and 2 people clearly aiming for Kaisa, and since I wasdn't full streaking, I decided NOT to slam anymore ADC items (even though I slammed LW early with Sivir 2) even if they couldve saved some HP. I knew that there would be a likely world where I would fail to see a single Ashe/Kaisa let alone 2* them, and ended up playing Kayn instead. But tbh the Kayn was also contested (someone took Not Today 2-1 lol), but I just hit before him and he went 8th. Kinda felt bad for him but i was forced into that spot too.
It just doesnt feel as great rn that the 'right play' is often NOT to slam certain items even if they match your opener if the lobby looks like it will contest those lines, unless you are trying to preserve a massive 12 streak.
Other than tank items and LW, most items seem to slot into maybe 2 'main carry' units each, so you gotta expect to hit one of the two on your rolldown if you slam them.

My honest opinion after grinding a lot of hours. Just don’t spend your gold. Try your hardest to get 4 and 5 cost characters. Load up items that make sense on them. Traits don’t really matter fr. I get wins by pushing for all 4-5 cost dudes. Easily beat like 4 different 3 star 1-2 cost champs. Try to get to 9 early then just roll down for some 2 star 5 cost champions and your gonna win 9/10 lol I just won with a 2 star irelia, 2 star xayah, 2 star Annie, 2 star gailo, 2 star Kayn, 2 star Lee sin, 2 star lillia, 2 star syndra, 1 star azir. Easy.
2nd place guy had 4 3 star fated.
i had 100hp and level 8 on 4-1 and managed to get 7th place, I'm feeling so bad that I don't know how to play the damn game, I'm stuck on D4...
