Ne possiedo alcune varietà i primi li ho comprati più di venti anni fae sono diventati bellissimi e hanno riempito il vaso Alcuni li ho riprodotti con i semi e mi è piaciuto molto il miscuglio. Il tipo con le foglie fucsia non l'ho mai visto ed è spettacolare. Complimenti sei bravissimo.

    I have a conophytum calculus and conophytum minutum in California. I have them inside in my home getting indirect light a few feet from a south facing window. They were all very firm until yesterday I watered the minutum and it today I notice some of its leaves are now soft. I'm hesitant to water the calculus now due to this. Neither were pushing out flowers yet. My house temperatures range from 70-75, occasionally reaching 77. And the nights usually in the 70s. I am not near a coast so there is no fog. If I opened the window at night I can bring it down to 66 but I can't now due to wildfire smoke.
    Do you have any reccomendations?

    • @johnnyAGardening
      @johnnyAGardening  Před 2 lety

      Hold back on watering for a week or two, check the soil to see if its moist, check the drainage holes. Consider repotting if the soil has started to degraded and break down. Maybe try to increase air flow, by changing position, or a cooler position in the house at night. See if any of this make sense to do, let us know.

    • @e.g.1218
      @e.g.1218 Před 2 lety

      @@johnnyAGardening I gave them a good water a few days ago, I have it potted in only pumice and sand but added a small amount of soil into the mix when I watered. At first the plant did seem somewhat soft again but it has firmed up mostly and is staring to push through the paper. So that's a good sign.

    Caring for these is so confusing. I JUST watched a video that said you water them in the spring and water them once after they bloom in the fall and you do not water them all winter, because they'll live on the water they've stored. They live off the water they've stored as they split and the new plant grows out.
