Now Governor Murphy lets do the very first state wide universal basic income program! $500-700 a month maybe to start for each resident ensures every taxpayer no longer falls through the cracks in a time when we are on the edge of losing everything from just one setback, such as severe illness both mentally and physically caused by our toxic environment; such as damaging climate events whether caused by flood, fire, wind, etc; such as job loss from AI & other technology advancements; such as caring for our planet and aiding in reducing consumption, waste and in building a circular economy; such as aiding those who are struggling to pay rents and mortgage payments, and other essentials rising costs around the state. Those are just a few of the vital reasons to act with a UBI. Be brave enough to start a statewide program to break ground for it nationwide as we know from pilot after pilot, study after study it is a policy that is the most effective at impacting American lives in a very beneficial way. Be the change you want to see in the world.☮

Make unemployment a loan. You shouldn’t be able to use unemployment as a source of permanent income. Make welfare a loan too.
