I prayed with my children every morning before they went to school. And at night we would read the Word of God and discuss what we would read; after we would pray!
Remember on the Oprah show a long time ago? This couple had a 4 year old son who adamantly said he was a girl. Oprah and a counselor wore that black man down until he gave in to agree with his son and his wife. The wife was in agreement with the little boy and bought him dolls and girl stuff against the dad's wishes. It was very sad to watch the grief on that dad.
Candance stood boldly...I don't watch her often but glad to see her on the video. This is a needed teaching. We have to teach and pray with our own children and grandchildren. As well teach the Word so when they go to school they will be able resist the deception of the devil.
Wow, that sent chills up and down my spine when you mentioned the preacher not answering Don’s question about him sinning because he was married to a man. KUDOS TO CANDICE!

The discussion was pleasant enough - no name calling, interrupting, etc. Candace cordially answered his questions. I was hoping the symbolism God wove into marriage would be explained because it helps us understand why same sex attraction is unholy. God's distain for homosexuality was clearly articulated but his saving grace was not mentioned. Was this a missed opportunity?

You're points are plenty logical, but also flawed. Prayer for example belongs in schools as long as the majority that tends to be Christians are OK with Christian principles being shared with their children. Yes a teacher or principle that happens to be Muslim can attempt to usurp the dominant doctrine by teaching their own orthodoxy, but as soon as a handful of kids go home talking about Islam this and Islam that their will quickly be Christian parents that complain to the school to reprimand or remove that Muslim teacher.
Prayer in school was always good becuase the majority honored the true and living God. Not some god, not a god, not everybody elses's so called god. The nation honored te true and living God; the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Christians in society were wise then and would continue to be wise now to keep prayer in school. What we cant quench is other people's ability to share their own faith, but as Christians we have to be wiser and teach or kids to spiritually, mentally and socially reject and deny false religions and doctrines that are also out here in the world.
