  • The Liberty Cast Aluminum pump can be used to boost the source water pressure by 40psi in order to improve performance on your RO/DI pure water system and reach heights above 4 stories or when water pressure is too low. Can also allow you to run 2 poles off one system due to the increased pressure.

    Great video! You won't need to prime the pump if you have positive pressure feeding the pump with a garden hose. In those cases you can simply unscrew the priming port partially to allow any air to escape once the hose is connected and on.

    Just a helpful hints. I used a transfer before. I plumbed mine to pump AFTER the pre filters. You will lose psi thru the filters and no need to add pressure to those filters, sure, some rated to 150 psi. Reason is I want the most psi boost. You could lose up to 20 psi thru the filters depending on size, 10 vs 20, 2" or 4", etc...this way all boost goes to the RO. Depending on your membrane that 10 psi can be a big plus.

      @@WCSkills , another thing I did is instead of turning off pump if water flow stops, usually these have no switch, just plug. I used a remote to turn off and on. Similar to those you use for christmas outdoor lights but I used a stanley one that allows a higher amperage. Definite plus if pimp is out door and conditions are wet. Also, with all cast iron, it rusts. Be sure to flush well before use and drain after. If rust gets in there let some vinegar sit in it and it helps remove build up, then flush because if using after filters the last thing youmwant ks a load of rust going into your membrane. Since then I went to the stainless steel wayne.

      The Liberty 331 is cast aluminum. So no rust issues The Stainless Wayne is a better pump tho.

    can a transfer pump be used as a booter pump for low water pressure

    Not a single video of these in action being used.

    can i use this to take the water out of a swimming pool? do i need to submerge the pump into the pool?

    • @WCSkills
      @WCSkills  Před 5 lety

      yes you can drain a pool, flooded basement, pond etc. Do not submerge pump in water. Just have an incoming length of hose in the water and it'll suck it out.

    Is there a way to adjust GPH or pressure?

    • @WCSkills
      @WCSkills  Před 6 lety

      Not on the pump itself but I suppose you culd put a ball valve of some sort after the pump. Not sure if it would heat the pump up too much tho. could always check with the manufacturer. www.libertypumps.com/

      Never thought about a valve. Maybe use a longer hose after the pump to put more drag or elevate the collection tank. Your comment brings forth other ideas.

    • @WCSkills

      This pump in the video is for booster pressure before an RO. Are you looking for a booster pump or a pump to draw from a tank (different pump for this) and where are you located in the world?

      WCSkills yes booster before the sistem my pressure is really slow I get like a gallon for 3/12 minutes...I need a booster I Only run one wfp
