- The number one piece of content requested when yall found out about the injury: Lefty throws. So today we're testing a baseline seeing if I can beat my Sister-In-Law playing with my left hand. Abby has played one round prior to today, so I've got a little bit of experience on her, we'll see if that actually helps. Does course knowledge overcome execution?? You’ll have to watch to find out!!

Don't judge your relatively new form through the lens of your experienced righty form.

I feel your pain, I hurt my right arm a while back and have started to teach myself to play lefty. I can say it is not easy. One thing I have figured out is that light discs are amazing!!!
That last Abby forehand dropped my jaw, that was a seasoned throw, and a great finishing putt.

I’m a lefty player. Been playing for 1 year to date. Messed my elbow up towards the end of last years season (Michigan Player) and played a lot righty. Luckily I had all winter to recover. I feel for you and wish you a speedy recovery. In the bag listener 🤪

This was fun to watch. I'm a lefty but have to throw righty because I have tennis elbow. I put lefty but drive and approach opposite.

I had to stop the video on hole two after that "confident" drive... if I had been drinking something... it would have spit out on the computer screen. I might have to keep that shot in a favorites folder! :D
The right elbow band throwing lefty lol😂
When you can throw lefty you can be a mirror for the person you are teaching backhand to. I’ve straightened out several friends rounding problems this way. It’s also fun to switch for a shot in the middle of a round.
Robby I played lefty for like 4 years and an injury forced me to switch to righty. It was annoying at first but I was able to go into it without any of the horrible habits I learned when I was just starting out (It let me get other newer debilitating habits) but I'm significantly better as a righty now than I was as a lefty. Every now and then being able to whip a reverse hand backhand out (not full power due to injury) with my old lefty is pretty situationally useful and gets some fun looks at a tourney if I get to whip it out.
maybe some content on how throwing lefty (as a righty naturally) will affect flight, other than the obvious reversing? I'm coming from ball & club golf, and throwing lefty backhands feels much more natural to me since the body mechanics are more similar to my golf swing. That also means right forehands feel great and easy, but am I setting myself up for redundancy throwing lefty backhands and righty forehands?
Seems like a perfect opportunity to do a "building a beginner bag" series and being able to use yourself as the beginner wince you are pretty much starting fresh as a lefty (temporarily, for the next little bit). On the bright side, you can look at throwing lefty as adding another emergency tool to your disc golf Swiss army knife for the future, if you ever have to break out a lefty throw because of a truly terrible lie.

About abandoned shot: Is that a penalty as in you were throwing #3 from the tee? Or you just count the abandoned throw as a stroke and you're throwing #2? And can you throw a provisional then decide whether to abandon the first or play it?
Throwing three from the tee! Great question! If you choose to abandon throw I don’t believe you can throw a provisional. That would seem to be more of a practice throw situation, which is no good. But honestly not sure, I’ll have to do some investigating on the provisional!
Righty = Robbie C. Lefty = Lobbie C. It just works.
I'm not so sure rest will heal elbow pain. You may need to push it a little bit then rest and repeat in order to get the ligaments and tendons stronger.

As someone that had to play lefty due to injury recently, find a lightweight putter. My putting improved immensely when I used a putter light enough to actually manipulate with my baby weak left hand. (LSD Penny is what I used)
