CEO & Director of Tyga.Cloud, Joe Wee's graduation speech

Joe Wee (BSc Computer Science, 1996) is CEO & Director of Tyga.Cloud and he received a double round of applause for his impactful speech.
From humble beginnings to global success, Joe reminded our graduands that "disruption and innovation goes hand in hand" and that each of them leaves Warwick "with an enriched set of skills to make a change".
After graduating with a £600 loan from his sister to pay for his first month's rent, Joe spent the first few years of his career building BSS and OSS systems (starting as a programmer and progressing to the role of Chief Internet Technologist at NTL - now Virgin Media).
He then founded Chillingo a publishing business with games such as Angry Birds, Cut The Rope (they had 12 number 1 hits in total) and a social gaming network called Crystal with over 100M gamers.
Joe sold this business to EA. Tyga.Cloud is his latest venture, and it's aim is to solve the fragmentation and cost issues faced by SMEs by bundling all core services under one roof.
In the same way Chillingo held the torch for indie developers to help them sell games to the world, Tyga.Cloud will hold the torch for the SMEs to help them compete by providing them with all the tools they need at an affordable price.
