4:50 The monitors look like they were set up pretty high? Especially when they were set up in a f1 position with the seat inclined (thus further lowering your eye level)

Do you think the flex in the pedal tray would be improved with pedals that have a baseplate? I'm thinking that MAY add additional rigidity. Just running Logitech Pro setup for now but don't want to regret any purchase if I upgrade in the future.

I just picked up a Black TRX used on FB Marketplace for $900. It came with the seat, single monitor mount and shifter mount! I paired it with a Moza R9 base RS V2 Wheel and SR-P Pedals($600 again on FB M). Wow I'm in love with a Sim Rig! I have just $1500 invested in it so far. Still plan on getting Moza shifter, Handbrake and Trak Racer Keyboard/Mouse mount. In all I will have an amazing Mid-Range setup for under $2k not including monitor or PC. Right now I'm rocking a 32" curved VA 165HZ panel. Not sure if I want a 34" or 49" Ultrawide as the 32 I have already fills my vision with the monitor mount as close to the base as I can get. Any suggestions cons/pros to going with the 49 over the 34 and mounting the 49 further away? Also any discount codes for Moza Racing products? I will be purchasing the shifter/handbrake from Moza directly using your Aff. link!

Hey no rush I’m just curious have you gotten your hands/planning to review the Moza R3? Curious about your perspective. Deciding between that and going fanatec CSL. Have to wait a couple months either way so the wait doesn’t bother me but I’m just curious.
i have the csl dd. its pretty damn good. probably biased bc i have the boost pack, but i feel like 3 nm would leave you wanting more

The R3 is a useless SKU from Moza only marketed to try and steal market share for console. You have no upgradeability and FFB not even above a T300 belt. the CSL DD 5Nm would be a no brainer, since you can easily push it to 8Nm with the boost kit AND you get compatibility for xbox through rims.
Will the Fanatec inverted v3 pedals fit this rig?

The pedal deck seems made out of pie pan but it looks like i could easily fabricate some metal onto it and stop it from flexing at all. I just sat in a simlab p1 x at microcenter and i dont understand all the lies out there about them not having flex cause they have it in the pedal deck and the wheel deck mount because i can make both of them flex so i dont get it. It had asetek invicta pedals i need to go back and show it in a video im tired of hearing that aluminum profile rigs are the best when they flex also and they look like a treadmill
Let's be honest here it is almost impossible to have no flex with anything that has connecting Parts that are not welded and not imbued into the Floor. And even then if you're not using something along the line of forged steel or Titanium the Material itself will have some Flex. No Hate Intended for your Comment. Was more like a general comment.
Do you have any reccomendations for small simracing rigs? I do not have alot of space in my rookm but I don't think my desk can handle the base I wanna get so I want a proper rig for it.
ASR-1, or an NLR WS 2.0 if you want a wheelstand that folds up. Most full cockpits are the same exterior dimensions.
People talk about pedal flex but imo its not bad for a floating design and when in use you cant feel it. Also the motion part may be the best imo because its not overly aggresive its just right. And im one who doesnt even like motion rigs! But I would buy this as is without it. I dont think motion rigs or worth getting what so ever. Just like im not into vr. I get people like it but most after a year or 2 go back to normal displays due to adverse effects to eyes and head. Starts getting a bit annoying tbh.
Had mine for 7 months great rig hands down. Run a DD2 with ImSim pedal set.
Hey mate, how do you find the flex? Seen a lot of reviews saying it can be a pain. I'd be using a DD1 with V3s
@@Willbern97 I don’t notice it. Im running the DD2 at 40% with the D wheel. I can feel the slides and catch them. I do mostly oval racing.
@@Willbern97 I also have the TRX paired with DD2 and heusinkveld ultimate pedals, i usually run the DD2 at 50% while racing the flexing really isnt noticeable even at 100% but if the wheel goes crazy spinning around the rig will definitely shake quite a lot but at that point you are not gonna be holding the wheel anyway.
For the pedals id say the flex is more noticeable when i tried to put max pressure i could, which was around 130kg and the plate definitely flexes, but in reality i use the brake at 80kg to full activation and the amount of flex doesnt affect my braking consistency even though it flexes a bit. after all its not gonna only flex 50% times you brake
I'd say if you are using your pedals with over 100kg braking full activation then you might want to look for some other rig.

While I love my trx the flex in the pedal deck is inexcusable. This rig was tested over and over again. The side plates holding the pedal deck are too thin and they are what flex. If they had added 2mm in thickness this problem would vanish.
I even went so far as to email trakracer and ask them if they intend on making thicker ones or if I could get one made from them. They politely told me no.
Yes the pedal flex is very noticeable when you have at their highest point or are running in the F1 position. It's unacceptable for the cost of this rig. There's little to no flex when placed in the lowest position.
The steering flex is noticeable when at a stand still but disappears once you start driving.
That's pretty bad. Could you make your own? Or modify its rigidity?
@@Lenduya Several people have shown pictures of a long threaded rod they used to fix it. But, it needs to be drilled and a nut welded in to be done correctly.
A nut is welded onto the bottom of the upright and the top of the lower upright strut (at matching angles) The rod is cut in the middle and a threaded flexible coupler is installed. This can be screwed in or out to tighten or loosen the tension on the rod.
This rod pulls out the slop and tightens up the entire upper assembly.
The pedal plate sides would need to be replaced with thicker ones. I would need a machine shop. Mind you I still use and enjoy my rig. But it's just not amazing like it should be.
What triple monitor tub stand was that? As well as the monitors?

As per the monitors, not sure what specific monitors but I believe they were 34" displays.

great review thanks. helped me to decide not to purchase. had it in a cart and glad i didn't pull the trigger. the flex you demonstrated was enough of a turn off. I have a 23nm base with hydraulic pedals and would likely exclusively play in a GT position. back to shopping I guess.

I believe I used the M6 bolts that come with the CSL DD and washers. No M8

I bought this rig. Do not buy this if you are a serious driver and practice daily. It is not rigid, it squeaks. I wanted an upgrade from the entry level playseat thought the look was great and might be more rigid. I was wrong! I immediately ordered the playseat Intelligence. It’s more expensive but you can’t go wrong with playseat.

Lack of mounting points for accessories is a deal breaker for me.
That is probably true for that massive price Tag altough, I'm more of a well shit happens, let's go to the drawing board type of guy. BUT I'm also the one that is massivly pissed if it doesn't turn out well and hate myself for buying it for that much money and then ruining it.

Cool concept, but a shame it flexes more than Arnie at Golds gym.
It really doesn't flex at the wheel, Standing on it to show flex is not an accurate use case. I run a Simucube 2 Pro on the TRX at 75% power and there is no noticeable flex. Only issue is running the Heusingveld Ultimate Pedals at 100kg in the F1 Seated position... that's where I found quiet a bit of flex.
Sad to see that the screen is the wrong height and distance. On everything you show. So why? You can't get it right I guess with TRX. Then there is a lot of flex in TRX and you won't be able to adjust many times before it becomes loose and breaks. Half the price maybe this is worth in my opinion. Since you stand on it has nothing to do with how much movement and shaking this rig gives anyway. Fanatec wheel at 8nm? I feel I had to write this as this is not as good as many people think and not at this high price. Check other tests and you will understand why more.

I have the same setup but in blue. For the price, this thing feels like trash. At a distance it looks fantastic just don't look at it closely or touch it. The whole thing is covered in paint overspray and even the threads were painted and needed to be chased with a tap. They even left the round stickers (presumably designating the part number) on the tubes and painted over them. The Alpine graphics on the seat were poorly applied with wrinkles everywhere and they were also torn in shipping. Along with numerous scratches on other parts due to poor packaging.
Enough about the cosmetics and poor QC. Let's talk about how well it works. This rig feels flimsy. Whether climbing into the rig, steering or pressing the pedals, everything moves when pressure is applied.
Trying to get it to work properly with a Logitech G Pro wheel was a challenge. The original universal mount didn't work at all. I had to purchase version 2 and cobble it together. The brackets don't provide the correct range of motion to fit me for a GT position. Either the steering wheel is at the right height and the brackets protrude so low that they hit your knees or flip the brackets over to save your knees but now the top of the wheel is at the height of my nose. There is not a configuration that fits in the middle. I can't tell you how many times I've disassembled and reassembled the rig in different configurations to try to find something that works.
I have a hard time believing that the Alpine F1 team had any input into designing this. I'd be truly embarrassed to put my name on it. This is just a prime example of marketing BS. Climb into any home built race prepped street car like a NA Spec Miata, which is a total limp noodle, and it feels like Fort Knox in comparison to this Harbor Freight knock off. Also the ergonomics are spot on where as this rig always feels compromised. Just as a point of reference, a roll cage, seat and brackets for a real car cost about the same as this rig. This product was overhyped and seriously under delivers. Wish I could get my money back.

Especially when you add a manual gear shifter and handbrake.
go back and watch the video again and pay attention at the 9:36 mark...he says why the rig flexes! For that much customization in switching between F1/GT seating positions, as well as the sliders for both the wheel and pedal decks...unless you have a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, I highly doubt a better solution could be put into place.
As for the shifter flex, there was a better way to design it, I'll give you that! But was probably overlooked and/or not thought of at the time!

Too much flex with 8nm and pedals. For that price it’s kind of bad. I rather stick with profiles .
Ordered the TRX over 2 weeks ago "in stock" 5-10 days to deliver and still nothing. Emailed and got automated response saying UP TO 72 hours, got nothing. Emailed again, 5 days later, still nothing. $2,000 purchase and having the worst experience possible with this company BUYERS BEWARE!!!!
