In yae’s thing about him, she says that Ei refused to hurt him or even lift a finger against him. She saw he had human feelings or smth and felt bad so, she sealed his powers so he could live a carefree. Scars took this in the wrong way and thought she had abandoned him because she didn’t care for him and thought she thought he was weak
Well, she could tell him why she acted that way no? She could tell him that he could live his life and not be a tool.
Also since she created him and was basically his mother, she could spent some time with him like mother-child
@@PrimordialNyx Not really though. Being a mother is not on the agenda for her. Her responsibility is to Inazuma alone. It's a burden she inherited unwillingly and left completely alone to carry. It was out of kindness that she didn't discard him as a defective product. She gave him the gift of free will and retreated into Euthymia. Miko said she would have destroyed him if it was up to her, but Ei was too compassionate. Unfortunately, Ei wasn't wise about it. In his blank and fragile state, it was easy for him to be influenced by the Fatui, and coupled with his emotional inaptitude, he squandered his gift and became a monster.. Ei would have spared a lot of suffering both for him and for all of his eventual victims had she terminated him. It's a truly tragic and beautiful story. I understand everybody's predicament. But all the blood on his hands simply can't be washed away in the end..

She created him. She created life. She should take responsibility for him.
And by that I do not mean kill him. She should at least give him to people who would take care of him or use him in a good way to help her run Inazuma.
It's like you give birth to a child with black hair, but you wanted a child with brown hair. So you disregard it and just leave him with no explanation as to why.
She had responsibility to set him in the right path at least. Kill him is out of question since he was not a machine, but a living being with his own emotions.
@@PrimordialNyx I'm not saying you are wrong. She didn't think it through, that's for sure. She was quite lost herself at the time. It was a binary choice for her - terminate him or let him be. She might not have had any motherly feelings for him, but she also didn't resent him.
It is also worth saying that he wasn't awake or conscious when she created him - he became self aware much later, when she had probably retreated into Euthymiya. So they never got the chance to talk unfortunately. So yeah, she had a responsibility to him, but she saw him as an empty vessel and decided to give him the freedom of choosing what to become. That was a gift and a mercy in her eyes. She never considered he might need love and guidance to develop into a normal person. That is her mistake.
But the monster he became is entirely his own fault. He could have chosen to be good instead of evil and use his power to help others. Yes, he felt betrayed, resented and unwanted. But so did Nahida - and she didn't turn into a homicidal psychopath. As I said, I feel for him and understand his predicament. But he embraced his rage and hatred and became a bully that enjoys inflicting pain on others. Even to his own Fatui subordinates. And there can be no excuse for that. That is what makes him such a great villain in the end.
I haven't progressed past Act 2 of the Sumeru quest line yet, so I don't know how they handled his change of heart. But he needs a ridiculously good redemption arc to justify him becoming playable instead of being put out of his misery in my opinion. I did see a glimpse of the boss fight and hearing him say "bow before me, worm" really didn't help him become more likeable in my eyes.. So as of now, I can't wait to beat some sense in his confused skull 😅
@@PrimordialNyx I think you're all just assuming that Ei sees herself as his mother. From what I've seen, there's nothing to suggest that she does. Scaramouche sees it that way, obviously, but nothing that Ei herself has said or done tells me that she considers Scaramouche to be like a son to her. For all we know, he's just a thing she created that she took pity on and decided to let go instead of destroying - like a lab mouse in a failed experiment. Usually you just dispose of the mice, but in this case Ei set it free.
She couldn't have predicted that he had formed a kind of mother/child attachment to her.
I mean feel free to correct me with some sources if I'm mistaken, I can't remember everything that happens in the game.

Ei didn't mistreated Scara. She is the Electro Archon she has responsibility. According to Miko Ei planned to dispose him bcuz he is just a prototype for the Raiden Shogun, But I guess she had a changed of heart and decided to let Scara live like a normal person wandering Inazuma, has own consciousness and free will and has no rules program into him. That's why Fatui took interest of him, after all he was created using an ancient technology that Maybe Ei only knows (Cuz if tsaritsa know this scara wouldn't be necessary for them to have). Cuz he has no rules he was basically easy to alter, Ei didn't know about it cuz she is the plane of Euthymia. Fatui is to blame for his actions and bad doings not Ei. Cuz I see a lot of people portraying Ei that she just used Scara for the raiden shogun and when he serve his purpose he was disposed like mere tool. When actually she understands the feeling of her creations cuz that's what Makoto taught to her, to not use someone as tools or weapons it was very evident when Ei and Raiden Shogun fights.
Well, she did still abandon him. Of course, likely not with bad intentions. However, with her reasoning being that he was too fragile, it implies that he was tossed aside because she thought he wasn’t strong enough. While I do agree that the Fatui should take some blame, it’s not like Ei didn’t hurt Scara at all. She just didn’t realize what it would seem like from his perspective, because she was so focused on enacting her idea of eternity. It reinforces the fact that her tunnel vision hurt a lot of people. It doesn’t make her a bad person per se, it just means she still has things she needs to atone for

@Harry Shade Ei meant well but in Sacra’s mind, if he were to look back on this time, he’d likely see it differently. To him, she just tossed him aside and surrounded him with reminders of who he failed to live up to, a creator who would never dare cast a glance his way again. Both seem to carry/have carried an ‘ends justify the means’ mentality, until Ei had a change of heart, so it would be interesting to see if they can eventually resolve things in the story. (I say Scara has an ‘ends justify the means’ mentality either because he just wanted to get the gnosis he was meant to store no matter what it took, or because he agrees with the fatui line of thinking that the one cicin mage told us of in the Chasm. To me, the former is more likely since I don’t think it’s a coincidence that he finally has the thing he was originally supposed to house)

No, him wandering anywhere wasn't in the plan. She put him in a coma, he was not supposed to wake up on his own.

What Catarina said was basically Snezhnaya's official stand on what Tsaritsa does with help of Fatui - prevents impending catastrophe. I do not think this is important to Scara at all, but we'll see of course.
We need this is the game. I feel that it would help him overcome his first betrayal. But seeing how even Ei and Miko no longer remember him, it just became a missed opportunity

According how the Fatui are based off of Commedia Dell'arte . Scaramouch will be playable and I think this is the only way hoyo will make him playable.

Scaramouche and Ei having a reunion again. They become mother-son relationship. And then he will fix his relationship with the everyone including the Traveler and Paimon *depends on what the Traveler opinion* and he decide to leave the name of Harbinger and live a normal life. And then he get into our side and become a playable character

Well, Childe is still a Harbinger and is now playable so, Scaramouch doesn't actually need to leave the Fatui to become playable. Even better, he appears to have cut off relations with the Fatui after getting the Electro Gnosis, so him being still a Harbinger is debatable.
There is some lore that he was a prototype meant to store the Gnosis, so actually having it in his possession might make him more emotionally stable and less likely to try and kill the traveler + everyone else.

As someone who's been studying Literature for a moreso short period of time, I know that from a storytelling perspective, we cannot get what we want, but what we need instead. But heck, I wouldn't need anything regarding Scara and Ei's storyline but this. 💔

The Raiden Shogun (the puppet) was going to kill Scara but then Ei realized who he was, she returned in her body and hugged him.

The matching electro marks on the back of scara and the shogun are basically a mark that they are made my ei.. maybe this can lead to future interactions between ei and scara that leaves ei remembering that she has some connection to the wandering puppet..
