- Any country trying to intervene in the Ukraine war will face a "lightning-fast" response, Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned.
"We have all the tools no-one can boast of... we will use them if necessary," he said, in what is seen as a reference to ballistic missiles and nuclear arms.
Ukraine's allies have stepped up the supply of weapons, with the US vowing to make sure Ukraine defeats Russia.
Western officials say Russia is being hampered in its efforts in the east.

Yeah Vlad is really insecure if he wants to start nuclear winter and send us all back to the Stone Age over a relatively small piece of land in Eastern Europe.
It's hard understanding how people see the Ukrainian army winning this war on any front. Russia continues to bomb and destroy wherever Ukraine has military equipment, etc, often in transit, the Ukrainians are working with old and new rifles they cannot get parts for, and advanced equipment they don’t have enough trained to use.
Russia withdraws after they've atomhzed the areas they don't want, then to go to their next objective, yet Ukraine reports this as them regaining lost areas or cities as if they’ve won.
By April 16th, nearly all of the Ukrainian ammunition and fuel supplies had been bombed and destroyed. What is trickling in through its western borders has difficulties in reaching the eastern front and is not enough to supply an actively fighting and maneuvering army. This is why Ukraine has been trying to target depots in Russia (which has being splashed on TV) but it's at a far less rate compared to what Russia is doing.

I'm not on the russian side, dont even care for ukraine, but he has been strong enough to keep up with what he has said. If he was weak, we would be sending troops in to help ukraine but the truth is, we are scared of russia, and that is because russia has only sent in their basic equipment and soldiers. They are intentionally matching ukrainian equipment with russias old stuff. They are holding all the best things back to wait and see what the west does. It is the smart strategy. As a Ukrainian I wish British people and other countries would stop supplying our army with deadly weapons. It make you all look like a “day saviours”, however it makes the situation only worse. Now Zelenskij thinks that he is an invisible superhero, sitting on his arse in safe and warm places having his money safely tucked in and wants to fight to the last Ukrainian (not him or his family) and doesn’t want to negotiate.
