In the last Decade around 400.000 African Elephant poached which similar to there population number. You might think thats a good thing that there population is stable at 400.000 but they are being weakened genetically because the strongest with the biggest and straightest tusks are killed first leaving weaker to reproduce. This is why today its common to see Elephants with mishaped or misaligned, or missing Tusks a BBC documentary on Elephants made recently shows about 40 Elephant runnng together. A family of 30 females and babys running away from 10 huge Bulls and there tusks and how wonky and mishaped demonstrates the problem.

Some hang close to the herds but they end up dead. I want the one that separates. The herd is goingto get attention and i dont want to compete. If you knowof an are that has4 cuts of varied ages of 4 to 10 yrs and 1 of 15 yrs thats gota bigchunkof timber intersecting them....and an area in that timber thats close thats secluded, steep and nobody wants to go in there. Thats our bulls area. We hunt the travelways they use to get around and well cut a track of that bull when he seperates. And itll go into that secluded steep timbe nobbbb. Carter
