More Director's Commentary versions, please! Most of us hard core fans have already seen these a million times. Reminiscing years later with additional factoids is a fantastic spin. I can even get the 'old lady' to watch again!
I do love those directors commentaries! 😆
Fawkin Right fellow Factardo
Agreed 👍🏻
RIP to my brother! My McGyver! This episode reminds me SO much of him. He could make/ fix ANYTHING with anything, and the most anything ever cost us was $20! From fixing the AC to the pool to my old car...give him a wire, duct tape, a bobby pin and a balloon! Stereo in the car quit? $20, and an hour, no problem. (allthough, in that case, for some reason, my gas gauge quit? IDK? but I will always remember how NOTHING could stop you. What a great skill he had, and with no schooling, just having a no quit personality. We love you and miss you! There will never be another XOXOXO. Thank you Les for talking about the importance of these kinda skills.
Lastly, in my Brothers memory, ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding a motercycle. You could be the greatest rider ever but accidents happen so do it for your family if not for your self. The one thing he couldn't fix was his brain injury, no one could....
If you get anything from my long comment, listen to Les, uses your creativity to solve problems and never take unnessissary risks so in the end, you can go home
My condolences 🙏😢😞💔😔😪🙏... as Les mentioned 🙏😢😞💔😔😪🙏 it's best 😢💙🙏❤♥😔😢 to be tried 😢😔🙏💙😞❤😢 by 12 than to be taken by 6
Hey Les I don’t know if you will see this but I watched your show from a very young age (about 7) and now I’ve been hired as a survival instructor
cool man
that's great, I wanted to do the same when I was a kid.
Heretic Hero I’ve just been training my skills and learning from books and experts. Find a local survival school near you and learn from them it’ll help a ton
I do believe he said once that he never reads the comments but I am not sure. I have been watching him from the very beginning as well. I am no survival instructor but I feel I can handle myself much better in the bush with things I learned from his show. I also loved the british sas survival handbook. but just like Les, I tried lots of stuff from it that I found simply didn't work, at least with the instructions provided I am sure there is always a trick and a learning curve. As a fellow Canadian I would love to buy him a beer and have a quick chat someday :)
I watch Suzie and you on your other channel.. good job Luke...
" I use to make my own Mukluks" the most Canadian thing ive heard!!! lol
"there was no warm hotel to go to at night" big oof
yeah I liked that little dig too lol
@@scooterdogg7580 even Canadians can sometimes get in really good shots. Look at MANTRACKER. The USA juggernaut and Hollywood has NOT been able to get anyone to replace him.
Burned Bear Grylls' career lmao
Thanks so much for uploading content here Les! I hope this is something here to stay.
Thanks Les for continuing to put your shows outfit us to watch! I’ve watched for years and have taken your advise for years. Thank you for your awesome show!
Les came to our University for a lecture a couple years ago. Smart man. Big fan of you, sir.
Thank you Mr. Stroud. Very useful knowledge. I remember watching this late at night when Mom was still around. Back then we had cable. Not anymore.
No doubt Les's flame thrower was the best improvised weapon on a survival show I ever seen.👏
I grew up watching you after school. Les man, you inspired me in so many ways. Thank you for everything.
The blurring out of the pringles can was hilarious
I was wondering 😔🤔😕😅🙂🙃😔 why he did 🤔😕😐😂😑😒🤔 that 🤔😕😂😐😳🤣🤔
Legend. Keep em comin brother! The directors commentries are my favorite, so cool to see you in your natural habitat.😆
But I'll watch anything you post.lol😉
You have no idea how much I love finding you here. Thank you so much, you are helping me survive in a whole new way I won't go into. Much love.
Nobody does it better than you, Les. Best one yet!
Improvisation and adaptability are two of the most overlooked skills one can have in the outdoors!
hell man in the overall adventure that is life!
That’s because they’re not really skills. They’re mindsets.
Love how Les is unapologetically taking jabs at the fake survivalist who stayed at warm hotel
"boredom by which can be a killer is conquered by action." Awesome quote.
Hit a reef in Alaska by myself in a 14' Lund by myself. Flares were expired so I used toilet paper and a fishing rod to make a flag to signal. Saved by tp literally
When you're up Shits Creek...
Interesting testimony 👌🤔🙏👏✨🙌👌
There are still rental car locations that have a picture of young Les Stroud with big red Warning across the top... Thanks for the amazing content Mr Stroud.
Great stuff. From my time in Scouts to my time in Survival School with the USAF there are things here that ring so true!
Les I thank you for doing this Survivorman video for us I am enjoying them again I watched all your Survivorman tv shows when they first come out.
14:37 perfectly made background music
Thanks so much for sharing this!
Loved the years of shows and lessons good stuff thank you salute!
Love your show sir and your sense of humor. Wish I could more like you .
Hey les been watching since the beginning always love your shows .Alot of work doing all that alone and keep a good head the whole time i would probably have to bleep out half the episode lol anyway thanks and keep it coming!
Good advice for not only survival situations.
Thank you for posting these....it means a lot.
Right on Les your the man!!😊🇨🇦
Thanks Les. Great episode!
Les this video was so needed now in this time. Great Video. Thank You.
You are definitely a legend. I've learned so much from you. It's that knowledge you hope you never have to use but glad you have it when you do. Thank you
LMAO at the little digs at Bear Gryls
Hey Les, been a fan for a long time, loved the very early videos (living and building your hut) before Survivorman as well. Keep up the amazing content.
Hi Les. Awesome video. When the Mexico part came with the blisters on your feet, got me thinking, have you ever thought of wearing foot wraps instead of socks? I’m planning on making a bunch of foot wraps and trying them out instead of confined constricting socks. Plus after you wash one pair, hang them outside your pack to dry. They might dry faster than socks too. Thanks for sharing.
Big fan for years Les glad to see some activity back on your page bud
I'm not a Survival Expert by any means. But from growing up and watching Les and Survivorman, I feel like I could survive in the wilderness if I had too. I have two survival backpacks I completely made from scratch with some basics. multiple ways to make fire, metal containers to boil water in, Survival knives, one of my kits has a survival blanket I can use as a roof for a shelter. And I have plenty of Paracord. And wear a Paracord bracelet. I also wear a analog watch everyday. And I've taught myself the compass method. I carry a lighter every single day and I don't smoke. I also carry a Ferro rod in the winter. I live in Minnesota so if I get super cold and need a fire now and my lighter fails. We all know that Ferro rods can work even when wet.
Very informative,thanks Less...
I remember watching survivor man as a kid and then going out into the back yard to make some figure 4 deadfall traps and almost crushed my fingers 😂 got it to work tho and never forgot it.
Wow i hope that guitar was a cheap one !!! Learning alot from you ! Loved your shows now loving all this ! Thanks for posting
@@Psyminds because there is value in the item by the fact that music can be played from it and he completely tore it up !! Thats why I hope it wasn't an expensive guitar . 😅 if it was a Martin D-28 I would say he would have done more not to destroy it in that manner !!
Les Stroud, Survivorman...Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, whatever name you go by, I dig what you lay down! Fun entertainment, useful skills and a master class in respecting the wonders of our natural world. Thank you for what you do!
Just saw one of your videos in my recommendations. I had no idea you are on CZcams. I'm glad to see it. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you so much for the help and the new ideas
Thank you Les
Great content Les
Been learning from Les. The one that started survival on TV. Or at least according to the resources
You’re the g.o.a.t. Les🙏💪 god bless brother
IKEA bag is a great survival tool. You can do so many thing with it. I always have one on me in my car.
So good.
Take me with you on one of your adventures , I've always watched your shows and been a fan, when ever I'm out I try to think like les Stroud . I'm sure you've saved more than a few lives by passing on your knowledge.
Thx Les your the man of the hour (month/year)
When Les started down tuning that guitar I was hoping he’d start recording a death metal album 🤘🏻
Those 17 dislikes must be Bear Grylls fans :(
@The outsider Bear Grylls was just to show how to survive, which he can, being in the SAS, but, take a look at Ray Mears or the bush tucker man, Les Hiddins.
@@skolsuper8447 they got nothing on Tom McElroy.
Or just people who hate 200 ads per video.
@@captainchaos3053 Les' gotta make that money
@@captainchaos3053 weird. I get like 1 or 2
Awesome!
Hey man would love to catch the bigfoot commentary part 2
Les Idk if you ever read the comments but you're one of my favorite survivalist and always bring me back to great memories of boy scouts.
"I don't think like an engineer." Les, hate to break it to you, but you actually do think like a engineer, at least an oldschool one. You have a goal, you have tools, you have things you can apply the tools to, and you make it work.
My favorite episode was Frigate Island when you caught the Yellowtail Snapper.
"If you stop thinking, you'll stop trying. And if you stop trying, you'll stop sweating. And you know what I say: Stop trying, and you'll live. ... er..."
When I was a kid camping with my grandpa, he demonstrated that you can boil water by setting a styrofoam cup full of water on a grill over the fire. Never thought about plastic - but of course it would work.
Who's better than Les? Blew my mind with his show as a kid and now in the era of subscription blocked programming he gives it all away for free and churns out even more new stuff. So I say again - who's better than Les?
I've seen alot of footage of you learning the techniques of the area from the native people that live in those area's and was wondering if you could do a video showing you learning these different techniques.
MacGyver No Les Stroud hell yes
The 16 dislikes are the people that didn't survive.
Love you, bro.
41:04 "I'm Batmaaannn!" Les Stroud should have said.
MacGyver!!
10:17 Les must really hate making traps...
"Making a f***ing trap"
Whenever Les says "Bears usually run away" I picture Bear Grylls head popping up from the grass and making a runner for the tree line hahaha silly fake Bear 🤦♂
The Sierra Nevada.
I remember that one. Les asked where he should go on his final season, and I recommended the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. I was elated!
Thanx Les, MacGyver is my actual name and yes I live up to it.
in the past 15 years ive never had to use any of these skills, but i still have them though
This show goes well with I Shouldnt Be Alive
ever try a "Yukon Quest" or "Iditarod" over-nighter with a dog team? Sharing what they go through and the history could be interesting.
Military special operations survival school (SERE School) teaches zones of assessment, counting steps, etc.
Les....great content, brilliant video, and yes I have hurt myself like you with some of these projects.... man...your human 👍👍👍😂😉
Hey Survivor Man, any idea when you are going to continue with your directors cut concerning bigfoot? Absolutely love this channel. -Paul
nice compilation of old shows, I wonder how many rescue were the result of flares?
The real key to success when setting traps in the bush is Quantity.
The Guitrap!! Lol.. good stuff!
Les RULES!!!
Like the jacket with the Norwegian flag ;)
This was good t.v.
talking about being stuck in a car. it almost happened to me and my wife. I had seen the Norway episode and was about to start cutting. but about 5 minutes after running out of gas we saw head lights (it was about 10pm) and it was a CHP (state tropper). we got really lucky
Awesome episodes with many skills that have helped me; but dame all the commercials on CZcams are seem like more than on the tv show
Big diff between Bear Grylls and Les is next to no one can even do the extreme physical gymnastics Bear does. Les is down to earth and credible.
Isnt bear fake? I mean he has a crew that must have lunch on them
Love survivorman! Hate ads!!
Can we get a few more commercial breaks for under an hour of content, there’s not enough
Omg the Butt of the gun idea is genius!. My biggest flaw is not taking inventory. I always feel like I already know what I have on me and Figure out after the fact that I really did have something I needed all along but never bothered to check.
Thank you Les... it keeps me busy from thinking about the lock down on 2020. I pray everyday/night this dang COVID-19 virus will go away or they come up w/a vaccine for this shit.
God bless,
Chris from Missouri
Your prayers 🙏🙌✨❤😔😢🙏 comes 🙏❤🙌😔😢💙🙏 through, they made 🙏🙌💪❤♥✨🙏 the vaccines
People who dislike this video will sweat....at the wrong time😂
I comment on almost all his post, I want him to do the survival with natives it was epic I loved it but needed a little more knowledge facts on survival. A documentary for humanity as I say.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
Give the mouse a pick and you'll find them both inside the guitar.
31:10 ouch that's one thick "needle", I'd hate to have to get sutured with that.
Les is as Canadian as we come!! Makes me so proud!
Maple syrup & beaver tatts are a way of life here.
✌🌎
It would be sweet for you to just go out as a full prepared backpacker and just live for a couple days👍
There is a big difference between heating and cooking, lol 19:03
16:30 you could def pass for MacGyvers cousin
