I own the Backfire Ranger X3 and while i loved the flexibility and still believe it is the best HUB DRIVE, upgrading to a belt drive, i had to make the right choice and your video was the nail in the coffin for me to pull the plug and take the leap and get the atlas pro. stay awesome

What a really great video! A good insight on the three boards, I actually own the 2WD of the backfire sledge and I do agree with what you said! Here are some of my thoughts (Note I only own the backfire, actually my first board)
- The deck is too low and it is prone to scratch the battery
- 4WD seems overrated as the board is too fast already
- Compared to the carbon fiber it does lack "personality" however I do like the current design
- The trucks are bad! As a first time user of an electric skateboard, adjusting is really hard as you pointed out the bottom part is sandwich to the the upper part
Some things I disagree
- You can add carbon Wings to make it more stable (Tho it adds width and makes the board too wide)
- Li-po and Li-on has their respective pros and cons, saying you dislike one but not the other is just making it so that you didnt look into it (highly suggest to looking up some basic pros and cons since its a good addition to the video)
- The motor cage is really good for the backfire and you can add motor covers so debris dont get into the belt
- Comfort is king, it might be my first board but it is damn comfortable and very easy to use.
Overall great vid! A different review than what I watched, would recommend to other this video as you pointed out a lot of thigns not pointed out in other videos!
thanks for your input, we talk about the comfort ride at the very end, I personally prefer riding with a very wide stance, so i need a longer deck.
I'm torn on what to buy between the hammer sledge and the Acedeck X1 and the remote for the hammer is too great looking not for me to pick the Acedeck X1. The display for hammer sledge remote is amazing, no other remote comes close. I'm surprised no other company has advanced in remotes like they have.
@@owusu_ux I'll be honest, as good as that remote look, the novelty wear out really quick, after a couple of days all I care is for a lighter smaller remote that is less bulky on my pockets. Acedeck is about to release a new remote for the Ares x1 soon, that is similar to the backfire remote, for what I heard even bigger, hehe

⚡ *The Acedeck kingpin is what is known as an Inverted Kingpin.* ⚡
With the Backfire bushings, shave/sand down the bushings that are too tall using old grip tape/sandpaper, to *make them shorter, 2-3mm shorter should be enough to make them fit without overtightening. If you dont want to make them shorter, you can buy shorter bushings from Riptide.*
The kingpins being too close to each orher is a common issue with some double kingpin boards, the bushings modification by shaving resolves is a good solution.
I feel like backfire with the hammer sledge price should have better trucks, I know this problem happened before on some of the boards I tested but not on premium boards like for example the atlas or the eovan. backfire have a bad design. a lot $2400 in 2022 should habe better trucks, my ownboard bamboo AT pro have better trucks and less than half the price

@@DanielKwan It can't, the original design was with th kinping in a traditional position but they decided to do it inverted for aesthetics

In your opinion. In regards to reliability of brand and also the ride of the board ( if you tried it out) . What do you think backfire hammer sledge or Onsra black Carve 3 ???? There are so many reviews where I feel are swayed do to being associated with the company .

What do you mean you can’t swap the front trucks to ones without motors on the Ares? They sell a regular truck that you can swap out.
I wanted to convert this 4wd to 2wd and acedeck told me I can’t

What mount did you use for the shredlight to be so centrally positioned beneath the handle on the Exway Atlas Pro? I thought I remembered seeing a comment that it was the "standard" mount?? Did you need longer bolts to fix the mount and handle to the truck? Is visibility compromised because of the guard and motors? Thanks 🙂
standard mount, no need longer bolts, the motor don't block too much, it's fine.
