Setting Up 2 New Gargoyle Gecko Enclosures! (Using Only Supplies From Home)

- As many of you know, we’re currently in a pandemic and most of us are stuck at home. I decided to use this time at home to upgrade 2 of my gargoyle geckos from bin enclosures to new exo terras! The challenge is, I have to set up these enclosures using exclusively supplies that I already have!

The enclosures look great! My favorite part of owning reptiles is designing their enclosures! I really like making super natural looking enclosures! I was wondering if you needed uvb for geckos. If they don't need it could you just put a normal uvb bulb and not one of the tubes? I know it is better to use the tubes for bearded dragons and chameleons and stuff but do you need them for geckos?
If you have created geckos and you feed them a complete diet they are okay without uvb! But, if you have a bio active set up I would suggest using a uvb light for your plants. :) I would also look on Josh’s Frogs, they tend to have good suggestions. I hope this helped! ❤️

Do either of you have experience with housing multiple females together? Any problems or would they be fine with a big enough space
@@willramsden8377 i got two females about a year ago and was told they were housed together, I have seen zero aggression between them. I’m sure this is not the case 100% of the time. 👍

Yes, unless it’s bioactive which includes isopods and springtails then you need to change the substrate

Mr.Koalashii X if I’m just cleaning the glass to clear it up I use a water/vinegar mix! It cleans well and is safe for the animals

Can someone please help me? I'm looking into getting a Gargoyle Gecko and I've already bought a large Vivarium for him. I've also bought a 40w light heat bulb and I was wondering, do I keep this on overnight? If not, how I help him stay warm enough? Any replies appreciated because I want what's best for my gecko :)
Turn it off at night, reptiles do not need heat 24/7. In the wild it cools down as the sun sets, it’s natural for night times to be cooler :)
@@EmmaLynneSampson Thank you! I live in the UK and my house is around 21°C during the day and drops to 18/19°C overnight, so it can get quite cold, would that still be ok?
@@poppyclare8620 i live in the Netherlands so same climat 😅😂 but i use a nightbulb 25 watt at night so IT still Cools down but stays a little over 20 degrees. I do have a Leopard gecko idk what the exact temperatures are for gargoyles
