  • Vaisakhi is a big date within the Sikh Calendar, marking the birth of the Khalsa. Taking place in 1699, Vaisakhi is celebrated every year in April where thousands of Sikhs come together in remembrance of such an auspicious occasion. This Vaisakhi Animation sets the scene of why these events took place in 1699 and how Vaisakhi has had an everlasting effect on the Khalsa Panth till this very day!
Watch this beautifully animated Sakhi (true story) on why Sikhs celebrate Vaisakhi!
The following reputable sources were used to make this animation:
    1. Shaheed Bilas - Bhai Mani Singh Ji
    2. Sri Gurpratap Sooraj Granth - Mahakavi Bhai Santokh Singh Ji
    3. Twarikh Guru Khalsa/Sri Guru Panth Prakash - Giani Gian Singh Ji
    4. Purakh Bhagvant- Principal Satbir Singh Ji
    5. Gurbani Paath Darpan - Sant Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindrawale
    6. Sri Gur Katha - Kavi Baba Jivan Singh (Bhai Jaita Ji)
The depictions of Guru Ji are artistic interpretations which have not been animated and are still images only. None of the figures in the story have been voiced. Only the story is being narrated.

It's not a birth of the Khalsa, it's actually appearance of the Khalsa because Khalsa neither born nor die, Khalsa is eternal or supreme or it's existence is ever lasting... I hope you'll understand 🙂

      @TeePee-ww9vu Před 3 měsíci

well it's arguable because it's more than just appearance. It also has a maryada which was initiated on this day. I get that the word "birth" may not be appropriate, but Khalsa did not just receive an appearance; they received a new way of life.

Human babies in the womb are normally positioned head down and born with HEAD FIRST in a normal delivery. If the feet in the womb are positioned down, the midwife will try to move the baby around whilst it’s in the womb so the head is facing down so it can be born with HEAD FIRST but if this cannot be done and the feet are facing down and can not be turned around and the feet come out first, it’s called a breach position.
Breach is a word that means doing something you’re not supposed to / non compliant (refusing/wrong)

    Everything you said is correct🙏🏻
But when GURU GOBIND SINGH JI demand the head of sikhs and that sikhs came one by one on stage…Guru ji remove their head in front of all of the crowd not take them in a tent and then remove…This is incorrect
So please everybody understand that Guru can’t doing things by hiding them….Guru Ji is pure and do all the things in front of peoples
And one thing i add that some bad people change the parts of our history and spread them in the sangat and make them confuse….and they try to decrease the trust of sangat on their Guru
I hope everyone understand this and not disagree with me😇

It means Putha. Halal is done ritualistic and the animal is held Putha. And Sikh can only eat Jhatka or single cut meat. And here the animal has to stand straight and Offer its head. You can see how this is done in Nanded Gurudwara in you tube videos.

@jaslokkaur2348 Never never never eat meat, bakra , beef. It's not allowed in sikhi. The jhatka they do in sikhi will have to pay very heavy price for their karmas. No guru eat meat and not allowed it.

to all the singhs and kaurs , to all the sikhs i want you to know that we as sikhs were ordered by the sikh gurus to not promote or follow or bow in front of any image or idol or follow these pictures or keep them . we are to only follow sri guru granth sahib ji maharaj . these animations could be shown with just a sight of prakash .

Dear sister. I don't think anyone will use these images to follow/bow down to. This is just a pictorial representation and let's refrain from discouraging such beautiful works. Pictures register more, esp. For our future generations, it's very important such videos are made so they can watch and learn quickly and with interest. If Guru Maharaj were to watch this video, They would be delighted and not be offended by Their representation here.

My sincere suggestions to the creator of this video is that you should remove the part that Guru Ji served the dead body of Amrit to drink.
This is a direct contradiction as the panj piaras had been beheaded. So how come there is a full body? What I have been told since my childhood is that the panj piaras were never beheaded but a goat(s) was butchered in one straight swing. (refer Sikhs don't eat the meat of a religiously sacrificed animal.
Also, Silhism does not have any place in Chamtkar/miracles/voodoo. Showing that the panj piaras came back to life after a dead body drank Amrit is so wrong.
Secondly, giving a face to Guru Ji and others, in my opinion, is not allowed. The pictures of gurus and others lead to the bowing of heads or praying to the pictures. Sikhs don't worship idols or pictures. This face could be a shining light or simply a symbolic shadow of a human being.
This video is a strong effort to use multimedia. Let us continue this effort but adhere to the work where the principles of Sikhism are not twisted or distorted.
I submit this feedback with humility and I mean no ill to any. 🙏🙏🙏

Satsriakal Ji, did you never ask yourself was Guruji had to fake anyones death? Would five goats in a tent keep quiet? If Daya Ram was standing in the tent along with other goats after coming out would he have the same reverence for his Guru? And what would happen to the dead five goats during all of this? Someone would take it and have feast or say let’s protect what Guru faked? I am sorry to talk so. But I think we need to decide it for ourselves. There was never any goat, and the heads were placed at their positions in the body and Amrit was sprinkled over their eyes and dropped into their mouth.

This is what happens when we start to Abrahamize our Sikhi with unrealistic things like this, the exaggageration spreads and is believed. This was simply supposed to be a symbol or example of unquestionable faith and courage in our Guru. This doesn't mean that we think less of our Guru, our Gurus would never have us believe in the miracle ideology. Our only miracle should be the Bani our Gurus gave us to realize and submit to God's will.

This video explains how we have been told to downplay the gurus to be more like prophets or teachers(only a messenger of god) by others.
I might be wrong but this is what I thought.

Was Guru Arjan Dev Jee sitting on a hot thava for many days and not making any noise of pain also a test of faith? Miracles are a western concept. Gurus Kirpa is no miracle.

So basically, you're saying, for Sikhi to be real, it must be devoid of miracles? Perhaps you ought to engage yourself in spiritual pursuits and see miracles manifest themselves. Each one of the Gurus' lives are studded with miraculous happenings, occurrences and events. Is the physical evidence of Guru Naanak Saahib's handprint in the rock at Panja Saahib also the figment of someone's imagination??? Perhaps also the still existent sweet reethe at Gurdwara Reetha Saahib are just a folly? Singh, you need to understand and accept that the Guru does what he pleases. He doesn't need to conform to your constructs of what is or what isn't. Baba Atal Rae also brought the dead to life... But of course, that may just be a mere fairytale in your books of scientific inquiry put to hypothetical test and scrutiny?

This is one of the reasons why so many people are being converted to Christianity in Punjab. They are led to believe that the Gurus are not capable of performing miracles. The Gurus are capable of anything. They have demonstrated this over and over again. During the 1699 Vaisakhi, it was demonstrated yet again for everyone to see. Satgur Mera Mar Jivalai !
