Let me start off by saying I could be wrong concerning the Najee Harris situation but I believe the reports to be true. I believe he asked them to decline his fifth year option and I don’t blame him. But in saying that let me say this, if Omar Khan let him walk for nothing. I don’t wanna hear another Pittsburgh Steeler fan talk about how great of a job he’s doing as a GM because to let him walk for nothing would be absurd.
22 is the hammer a work horse. I hope we keep him 30 a good RB. They are good together
I for one sure as hell have faith in Jerome’s opinion no doubt about it! Russ is so focused and super hungry now and wants that Lombardi! He’s already won team over and is in excellent condition! And goes Nahjee isn’t going anywhere he’s getting another contract we haven’t seen his best yet we will see it this year getting to 5 yard avg gaining 1400 rushing yards and JWar will get 1100 + 400-500 receiving
Steelers need a superbowl qb if not a playoff qb that takes them to superbowl
In other words, they need Russell Carrington Wilson! Shuddup and enjoy the ride. By midseason, Russ will have every one of you saying you knew he would be great the whole time, and the majority of you will be lying. Lol.
He's right. Russ needs that commitment. He cannot play looking over his shoulder, and he shouldn't have to. He's still not an "old" QB, and he's too accomplished for that. Denver derailed Russ, not the other way around. Fields will need to commit to sitting and learning and then being "the guy" in about 4 years, or the Steelers might want to convert him or flip him. Russ can be special for Pittsburgh, but you have too many fans thinking Fields is the next Lamar Jackson (whatever that is because he hasn't led the Ravens anywhere).
The slight athletic advantage Fields holds over Russ is not enough to offset Russ's huge advantages everywhere else. Russ is still very athletic himself, and his slower movement in recent years was demonstrably due to his strategic weight gain. He lost eight and was faster and quicker this past season.
Cordell Patterson is washed up and old N Harris is in his prime. This is a big mistake to let the offense of coach make dumb ass decisions by playing his old ass rb. Harris is way better and young
Fields is good. Really good. He was playing on the Bears which was the problem.
No Fields is not good.
He's an elusive athlete but a poor starting QB.
His fumbles and interceptions are just as costly as Trubiskys, so it's curious that they git if Trubisky because of it but traded for Fields?

Lamar wasn't available but we did get Justin Feilds who I think is just like Lamar.
@@dustinlanzendorfer9111 : Both of you are wrong. What has Lamar Jackson done that's so special? He has had fully loaded teams and taken them nowhere! With Lamar's surrounding cast, Russ would've won two SBs already. He may not have LJ's speed, and that's barely, but he's a much better passer, much smarter, much more durable, and more experienced. Just relax!
Secondly, if Fields were anything near LJ, the Bears would've kept him. They traded his to the Steelers only AFTER Russ signed. You should take a hard look at the Bears' situation and what might have motivated their timing. I'll tell you this: it isn't because they thought Fields was the next LJ, and it certainly wasn't because they thought putting him in Russ's QB room would give him opportunity to show that he was, or even pretend to be for a few weeks.
The Bears sent Fields to the Steelers because they knew he couldn't beat out Russ! They want him benched so their team and fans won't be hollering and screaming if/when Caleb Wiliams struggles. think like a GM.
And btw, you cannot say the same about Russ's release from the Broncos. Russ was released only because he refused to defer his injury guarantee. It was a financial decision. Payton didn't really like him that much, but he would've kept him for at least another year. Besides, Payton knows he purposely sabotaged Russ, so he knows Russ can still kill it.
Young superstars with potential are traded because of what they aren't. Older superstars are traded or cut because of what they are. That's the difference. Fields is NOT LJ, and he probably never will be. Besides, Fields, despite his two MVPs, isn't what Fields should aspire to be. Russ is a much better template for him.
LJ will never be as good a passer as Russ in a thousand years. I'm not sure any QB could beat out Russ in a training camp competition this year with how motivated he is. He's coming to Pittsburgh like he came to Seattle as a rookie. That guy isn't going to lose his job to anyone.
Joe burrow would be good for the steelers
Burrow would be good to get injured. Russ is still an elite QB talent. You will see. And the last thing you want is a QB who cannot stay healthy. One of Russ's best qualities is his durability and ability to play through injuries at a high level.
