I've had mine for several months now and I carry it daily. I've attached this light to a very small (very small) keyring, and then attached a very small swivel to the ring, and then tied a very ornate paracord laynard (about eight inches), and then ended this pattern with two false Turk's Head knots that I put a unique laynard bead in between. I then wrap this once around my belt in front toward the right side. For several months now I've had no issues (at all) with this method of carry, and I keep it in the lockout 2 mode, so there has never been an issue of this wonderful little light accidentally turning on. When I need it, I press the raised switch once, and then hold for just a moment, and the flashlight is immediately out of the lockout mode and ready for use. I've always (ALWAYS) been a flashlight nerd, and I have a ton of different flashlights. I always keep around three on me in different places, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. Great job on this wonderful little Nitecore EDC27 flashlight folks. I carry this and use this daily, and I find it to be a wonderfully functional and practical little flashlight (with a very useful [high lumen] amount of power). I'll have to get another one of these as backup for when the battery dies one day. So, battery issue aside, I give this powerful little light an A+.
Dual switches are useful for tactical flashlights (direct access to Turbo and Strobe). A single switch may be simpler for EDC. Cool to see Nitecore play around with what an EDC flashlight can be.
I think having two switches is really useful for an EDC light. Most of the time, I o my need/want a little bit of light, but having a tail so switch with a very powerful beam is very important for self-defense situations. Although the moon/low mode button can be on the body instead of the back.
@@EuropaChronicles I really like the rotary switch and massive push button on the Nextorch TA30C and TA30C Max. I can hit the button without worrying about accidentally knocking a function switch.
300lumen on something that weight 90gr is garbage. i have the arkfeld but never ever use that thing. they could have mlade the arkfeld with 2 leds instead of a weird ass laser
@@MrJuijI ended up checking it out after you mentioned it. I had never heard of it. I bought one and I love it. I use flashlights every night at my job and that one is superb
I like it, if u could attach it to your cap, top pocket and it stand up on its oun to light up what your working on hands free id be all over that. Also uv and red light mode is very useful. Anyone know of any?
The dual lock out thing is annoying. I tend to keep it in Lock Out 2 so it doesn’t automatically turn on in my pocket however this just gives me access to Turbo and Strobe, which is kinda cool, but not when I’m trying to find a keyhole or read a map so I have to come out of Lock Out mode and it’s fiddly, a quick half press and a full press doesn’t always work first time and can often take me 3 attempts which I find frustrating. Other than that, it’s a great flashlight. I love Nitecore products, I own several but I just wish the lock out was easier to access and come out of.
The worst part, proprietary batteries. You could still get really creative with loading a few batteries, guys would love it because it feels like a mag, and I wouldn't mind if they were odd batteries, I would only have to replace them every few years.
Not for me. I need a flashlight when Im unlocking a Dropbox at night and it takes to hands to fool with combinations that you key in. If it stuck to my shirt yes. My uniform has no pockets!
huge price for what it offers. also, i dont trust Nitecore quality control, got issues with 3 Nitecores. i wont buy another one, same bad quality as a crappy NEBO.
Why? For a duty light I agree since there’s a good chance that you’ll use it for longish durations multiple times in one shift/patrol. But for an EDC light where you’re only likely to use it for occasional short tasks and possibly in a single self-defense situation, a rechargeable non-replaceable is perfectly acceptable. I recharge all of my EDC devices every Sunday evening, whether I used them or not. It takes virtually zero effort to do and it gives fantastic piece of mind.
@@EuropaChroniclesit perfectly acceptable until 5 years down the line when the battery can barely hold a charge and you have to buy another one. Yeah, not thanks, I'll look around for a better ome
@@maverick9708 I don’t know what kinds of batteries you’re using, but modern battery technology doesn’t wear down due to old age. I have numerous Lithium-based batteries of various sizes and capacities, none of them are any worse for the wear after 5 years. But you do you.
I have lost so many flashlights that I no longer spend over $20 on one anymore. Sure this one is badass, but I know I'm gonna feel regret when I lose it in a month
Thought this was a perfect EDC light at first, but the non-replaceable battery and unpleasantly cool tint ruins it for me. Button design kind of looks like an afterthought too, the main one is too exposed. At around £100 not being able to replace the battery when it runs down after a couple of years is an instant deal breaker for me. They were so close yet so far.
It’s a short. It’s meant to push out to more than just my subscribers who apparently aren’t watching my video’s anyway. I have a release schedule. 4 videos are ahead of this one so did that answer your question? Great thanks
I think the biggest downfall of nitecore is their none replaceable proprietary batteries. Once this battery degrades it's paperweight
you will buy newest cool thing by then anyway

I have this light and love it
Just watched a review. It rattles when your walking or shake it and the on/off button doesn't work some times. Wonder if they fixed that?
I haven’t had those issues…yet
I've got this light and haven't experienced those issues at all. It's great.

Add a badass huntin skinin knife and I’m in
Every nitecore flashlight requires you to hold down a button to stay in "turbo" mode
Candela?!
Ahhhh, if you're looking for candela you should check out the goonbeam edc v1, thank me later.
