Official Heather Feather 🙏 Please Subscribe to my Failing youtube channel! 💖 Today we will be how to DIY How To repair or fix, repairing or fixing DIY inflatable blow up Christmas decorations or Halloween decoration Seasonal outdoor yard AirBlown or Gemmy inflatable that has a hole in it, torn and leaking. Fix a broken air blown Inflatable Hole, Leak, Decoration Tear, Rip or Patch by sewing the canvas material.
I purchased my Harry Potter precious Hermione Granger inflatable blow up lawn decoration from Walmart and low and behold she would not stay inflated. I found a small tear leak hole on her backside that needed fixed, patched. So I just sewed it back together. Hand sewing, believe me, if you have the blessed ability to use you limbs properly you can most likely hand sew where it the rip, puncture or tears are.
I had seen some other DIY tutorials or How To videos and the ones I saw used waterproof tape to fix patch the air leak. I didn't want to go the sticky tape route and eventually have the tape fall off and so I opted to sew with a needle and thread. How to outdoor decorations at it's best!

It works but then you don’t have a nice looking inflatable you just see tape

When you're done sewing the hole do you have to knot it or is that not needed? Never sewn anything so I don't know the basics.

You can do that or like what I did, I just sew 🧵 back a stitch or two to back track over what I sewed. I may not have described that very well in the video. :/. I’m sure you’ll do fine.
