Thank you Alan for taking your time to show us this. I am not very handy when comes to fixing things so love the lesson!!!🥰
Nice tutorial. Also very nice drum set.
Regarding polarity, the wire with the white tracing stripe on the insulation should be the negative one, the unmarked one should be the positive one.
That was very helpful. Thanks so much
Thanks for taking the time to show us.
Looks like an easy technique that can fix a variety of things. Thanks for the tutorial. 👍
Amber is very lucky 🍀 you are so handy! Hope you got some new inflatables at after Christmas 🎄 sales! Happy New Years!
It worked! My Halloween Cat inflatable is alive again.
Thank you for the tutorial😊
Thank you so much
You make that look so easy! 😁
Thank you!!! I love my awesome inflatables but am also poor so this helps!!!
Thank you!!!
thank you so much! you helped me save my Zero tombstone inflatable! Appreciate the tips, and listing the needed supplies!
My wires severed on the other end, where it connects to the fan. Will this work on that too?
Can you tell me where you got the replacement plug.
Amazon
Omg these things CAN be fixed! I don't know the first thing about wiring, so this is a great start. My heart broke to see my xmas inflatable wires eaten through by the vermin. I'll give this a shot.
Question though (a very beginner question), what do I need to determine which wire is positive and which one is negative so I connect the right two wires together?
Ok it's not letting me edit my comment. I just saw another comment explaining the polarity, so nevermind that. :)
What would I type in to find the wiring? I am having troubles finding what I need. Do I have to order the whole power supply with wiring?
How did ya know where the bad part of the wire was? I also will use liquid electrical tape on the end of that heat shrink tubing too to make sure it's water tight..Great video though Alan...well..done!! 👏
The Wire Wasn't Bad He Replaced The Plug have to pay more attention to the
Which wire is - & which is +?
Alan what if I don't have that plug the one with the. Two prongs will it still work if I just connect it to a regular outlet
No it will frie the fan out or start a fire
What kind of plug does your inflatable have?
There are pretty much only two types of fans and motors for these - the little 12V DC ones that require an adapter such as the one in the video, and the larger ones that use a 120V AC power cord that plugs directly into an outlet or extension cord. They are absolutely not interchangeable, and you can seriously injure or kill yourself trying to plug something into a 120V outlet that's not designed for it. At best you can vaporize the wire or burn up a little motor.
Thanks. So annoying that the company makes the wires so thin.
What wattage was your inflatable? Mine is a 12v 1A and I I having trouble finding that exact cord and adapter. Can you help me!?
Id like to know!!!
You will have to note three things before attempting to buy a replacement adapter or plug:
- amperage of the motor plus any lights
- type of alignment molding on the plug
- polarity of the plug
If you have a 1A motor only then a 1A adapter should work. If there are lights included I'd get 1.5A or bigger.
The alignment molding on the plug is designed to fit only in a particular type of adapter - most plugs have a simple flat spot molded into the round plug, others have a slot that mates with a keyway in the adapter, and others have a recessed plug/flat spot inside a circular sleeve that mates with a similarly shaped raised plug in the adapter.
Finally, check the polarity of the plug - the pin that lines up with the wire with the white tracer stripe should be the negative one.
Once you've determined what you need you can search online for the appropriate plug or cord. You could use a search engine or search Amazon using terms like "12V 1A inflatable adapter" and proceed from there. Prices should be in the $20 range.
I was trying to figure out how the motor cme out, my wires broke right at the fan motor
There’s a zip tie
This video shows how to remove and re-install the 12V DC blower fan and motor that is zip-tied in place ...

Where did you get the plug with the wire. I can only find the plug part?
