Ok, the day ended a little early with a close call, but we did get a free tow from the Coast Guard Subscribe for more videos: www.youtube.com/@jackpwc01?su...
Yes, but I saved the rope, inspected the wear ring an impeller, and checked the drive splines and end nut. So it wasn't all about getting the rope out. Plus it is not recommended to remove the intake grill if you don't have to.
I just work to much and dont mind tossing the rope but if i were on a budget i would do as you did to save the rope so im sure lots of guys on a budget watch this video or will and you did them a good service.
Hi, I think you mean the bolt on the right? I actually didn’t remove it as the nut was spinning in the bracket inside the hull. I managed without removing it. The way to fix it is to cut the bolt off, and change the internal bracket. I think it also holds the IBR motor.
I had a woman bring me one once she thought if she put it in reverse it would spit the rope out lol. Then few hrs after picking it up here she come back did it again
Lots of work i would just remove the grill and add marine gasket when i put the grill bolts back on.

I found a good reason why you wouldn't want to take the grill off:czcams.com/video/OnlZVYHJoKs/video.html

How does this happen? I have seen this time and time again but I have never had this happen in the 20 years of ownership of pwc's lol 🤣
