I was thinking that as well. Honestly, that's what puts him ahead of everyone else for me, personally. The growth of that Batman from Arkham Asylum to Arkham Knight is something that can't be overlooked. And just on a side note, that last dream/nightmare sequence between Batman and the Joker, in Arkham Knight, is absolutely brilliant.

Michael Keaton was the best. His genius was treating Bruce Wayne and Batman as two different characters, which none of the other actors did.
For me it's not even close, christian bales is by far the best. With him in the cowl a awesome trilogy was born with the most realistic version of the caped crusader. Great writing, directing, acting, casting, set design and characters. I feel it will be a long time before we get another one this good. They churn out so many different versions and movies of batman these day it's getting a bit stale imo. The trilogy came off a long hiatus from bats being on the big screen and it payed off. Animated versions are always pretty cool too.

Gotham city looked dull and boring it had no character. Batman had a toy looking bat suit. Bale tried too hard to be intimidating with his throat cancer voice and didn't flow naturally like Keaton's Batman. Heath Ledger made was the Star not Bale.

Plus he's just batman with no worries when he confronts a villian he's like time to take a dirt nap. Alexander Lacaden ye but his acting was better, Nolan captured the feeling everyone had when Batman 89 came out. He took time to build his character.
I liked Michael Keaton. His sharp and quick physical movements and eye expressions were distinct and set him apart from the others. In the newer era, Christian Bale introduced a realistic portrayal of the darker side of the Bat. I'm glad the film makers got away from the goofy characters and lame attempts at humor from the earlier batman era.
Kevin Conroy for the win. The guy became a legend with just his voice. To provide such an epic performance, that people compare you with some of the finest actors in the world, just with your voice, that's huge. He'll always be the one true Batman for me.

Michael keaton is still my favorite version. Its just a darker more mysterious batman that is very intimidating . He was also the most to seam unhinged and crazy himself at times. Perhaps needed more screen time and character development. But what we got with keaton was a awsome batman still.

Story and character development is what matters most though
@@anthonylopez899 well, if we're talking about live action versions of Batman, Batfleck still wins. Bale's version happens to be more of a "what if Batman existed in real life" kind of thing, and although it was well written and had a more consistent story, it had very little to do with the Batman mythos (besides, the comparison is really unfair, because he had a whole standalone trilogy with room for character development, while Batfleck only had two films where he wasn't even the main character, plus a cameo in SS).
You can talk all the smack you want about BvS, but when I saw it, all I kept saying was "this IS Batman". Everything from the suit, to the way he talks, his gadgets, he really looks like a guy who's been doing this for 20+ years, a guy that's older and weary, and you wonder what he would have been like in his prime. I didn't feel that with Bale's Batman, I just saw a vigilante inspired by the comic books, not the real thing.

Ben Affleck's Batman had so much potential
The weird part is that people knock Ben Affleck but as he has gotten older he has become a much better actor and when he played Batman you can tell that he really dedicated himself to his portrayal of the character of which he did a good job portraying.

The Reason Why Nolan's Batman Is Considered Best Is Because Christian Bale Portrayed Batman Unlike Any Other Actor Has Done. He Didn't Just Stood Inside That Suit, He Lived Inside It, Giving Batman Character & Charisma. Alongside Christopher Nolan's Brilliant Character Development (Using Batman Begins Extensively As Origin Story) and Inspirational & Philosophical Dialogues Like "Why Do We Fall", Nolan's Batman, Portrayed By A Brilliant Bale Was Simply Great. Affleck is the best Batman & Bruce combo cinematically in terms of comic book accuracy IMO. Loved Christian Bale though, and Keaton is the OG, but looking back even that intrepration now is kinda campy.
Batfleck is not comic accurate at all and has massive character flaws.

Honestly think about it, He's peak human strength. His suit is clearly buffed up and shows that he's a force not to be messed with. And holding back his strength must not be easy so the fact he manages to kill a few thugs in hand-to-hand combat doesn't surprise me in the least.
Keaton, Conroy, Affleck, West, Kilmer, Bale, Clooney if we are going by just Batman portrayal.
