Hi Samuel, this is Farha …thanks for sharing such great content, I’ve been binge watching all your videos 👏🏻 they all are extremely value packed, you talk about the most important aspects of being a designer unlike most channels that cover only surface level things that have already been said 100 times. I have a question for you , what can one do if their company is not data driven, doesn’t track any data so measuring the success of design as well as advocating for your solutions just depends on the subjective opinion of your CEO ?
That’s a really popular scenario with companies that are not design centric. You need to be able to show the value that data brings to your work as a designer. Find case studies or clear examples where lack of data has been resulting in poor decisions. Keep advocating for data and if nothing changes, be on the look out for another job in a company that value design and data. You won’t grow if you stay in a company that’s not design centric.
