Aurora's voice and a guitar just filled that huge auditorium. The audience was quiet and enjoying this wonderful performance. In my humble opinion it's once in a lifetime that such an incredibly talented singer-songwriter and producer comes along. Aurora is that talent. Great reaction. Thanks.

Very intense song. Aurora gets inspired by many different events. This song was inspired by a news story where a Husband killed his wife in what he thought was a mercy killing as she suffered from an illness. Its hauntingly beautiful and terrifying at the sametime.

Ooops we meet again....man you just bumperd into Aurora, so gifted, young, beautiful, my favorite, stunning stoyiteller, with one of the most beautiful voices, and I've been around fo quite some time, but it's tthe person within the artist what really attracts me the most, As you can see she is a stunnig performer and producer, absolutely a master of her craft, and she carries messeges for us to think about.......in your own way you'll get to the point, seems like she's talkikng directly to you, oh yes, she is wise, smart and enchanting. You'll see, this discovery journey just happened to you, mine started back on 2016, and she lives in my personal everyday soundtrack every single day ever since......man this lady is a Healer.

Pure art right there, huh? "Runaway" from this same exact show is a different kind of awesome. She's also very into that one (as she always is), but it's a much "bigger" performance and more poppish. Probably her most popular live performance.

Where to go to next. Depends. If you want to continue down her haunting path Id suggest "It happened quiet" Live at the current. If you want to see her angelic side then its "Through the eyes of a child" Live at Niderosdamin. Fun and spunky go with "Like a Gentle Earthquake" from her KEXP concert. If you want to see a great MV "The River" is an uplifting song about a sad topic. Those suggestions just scratch the surface.

This is probably the saddest love song I've ever heard. A man shoots his wife to end her suffering. Can love be bigger and more painful at the same time than in this story? AURORA manages to make this pain palpable with her voice and her movements. You have seen AURORA's eyes. She wasn't on stage. She was somewhere else. You saw how deeply she was thinking about these two people, that she sometimes shook herself uncontrollably. I believe that she is not conscious of her movements. She's so into the story in her head that she's doing the moves in the story. I heard that AURORA was horrified by these movements when she saw the recording of the performance. That means for me that she did it unconsciously. Her empathy must be beyond measure. She spreads all her feelings that she has in this moment in front of us and lets us look into her heart and soul. There is no other way I can explain that almost everyone who saw this performance was affected by this story. AURORA is more than a storyteller, more than a singer. AURORA is a true artist.
This is from an interview with Aurora:
"First of all, I have a really vivid imagination. You know that these things may be happening to someone right now. It's kind of a terrifying thought. I just had to get that thought out of my head - and that's why I wrote this song. But the two characters are actually just made up in my head. I've written many songs about them - maybe I'll make a book with them."
And in another interview:
It’s just fascinating that some people can have in them the desire to kill while some people cannot pick a flower without feeling bad. That's about this I wrote 'Murder Song'. How can a man kill someone he loves and it happens often in the world. But he doesn't really understand what he did, it's a very complicated story. Her, she didn't want to be in this world anymore, and she knew that this man would do anything for her. She asks him to kill her and he said: 'Ok, I love you, I would do anything for you.' After he killed her, he became sad because she didn't move anymore and he didn't understand where she went. He didn't understand why she left and he start crying. And it is sad, because for the rest of his life, he will not understand and he will be sad."

AURORA doesn't care what the audience thinks about her. And that is exactly what makes her free as an artist. She does it her way because she likes it. This freedom to do what she wants and not what she thinks the audience wants is what pulls off this masterpiece.

I usually prefer her live performances. But in some cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA.
There are also some cover songs by AURORA, but then she interpret them in her own way. Probably the most famous recording is a David Bowie cover - "Life in Mars".

Three important bits of information I found from another commenter:
1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” -
AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th.
2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. -
AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together.
3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death.

This is the acoustic version of Murder Song, which is also on the album, and which also has a music video.
But the first version of the song on the album is very different, it is much faster paced and even with an almost club beat. You can listen to it on her main youtube channel, search for: Aurora Murder Song studio version.

Hello my friend. Wonderful reaction 😢 hope you dive deep into her catalogue. She is a once of a lifetime artist. Next one should be "through the eyes of a child" live at Nidarosdomen.
One little question: you seem to look downwards with your eyes most of the time, but also straight ahead eye-level-wise here and there. Do you got the lyrics pulled up down there? If so, keep your view up on her, especially on the live performances. She sings very clean and clear and you barely need the written lyrics to understand the words she uses as a vehicle to paint and create the artwork that is her meaningful poetic storytelling. To completely feel and understand her uniqueness you need to see the nonverbal expression she pours out like no one else ❤❤
