Anita was actually responding to a comment from another post and the "He" she referred to was not Babyface in regard to the Beyonce comment. The problem is that much of her valid points got lost in the translation and the delivery. This should have not played out over Twitter with her even giving her critics the time of day. Babyface could've also put out a statement to say that the delay was not her fault and that he didn't condone the harassment or threats. That would have squashed it and this incident would be a non-issue. This not a AB the villian vs. BF the saint. They both could've handled it better through proper communication. Sadly, common sense and decency did not prevail.

No one person is his equal, they’re all paid to echo his sentiments and offer some objective commentary, when asked.

1. Notice how the men in our culture are put up pedestals they can’t cash. I know Babayface may be richer and more influential to culture as a whole, but there’s a whole generation of black kids with single moms who played Anita Baker albums for hours everyday in the 90s. I know the words to almost all of her songs and I’m not alone.
2. Babyface is beloved in the industry, but this shows how weak most black male artist fan bases are & then they get upset when women artist have more star power and pull for concerts.
3. Let’s be clear that if this was a Babyface concert series and the roles were reverse we wouldn’t say he was being spicey. We’d say this was his tour and Anita should be graceful in understanding that the show must go on (even without you).
