    This video is perfect for people like me who never picked up on basic sewing but have many projects they want to try. No question left unanswered on how to make this Coffee Cup Sleeve and even how to make a reusable template too. Thank you!

    I love this tutorial, it's quick and easy. I have mostly mugs so I'm looking for a coffee mug sleeve, though. Thanks for sharing

    I'm new to sewing, I tried to make these but my tension is off or something. One side looks good and the other is messy. Any suggestions?

    I like all of your videos! I noticed that you mentioned sticky back Velcro. You aren’t supposed to sew on sticky back Velcro because it will mess up your needle and make your machine skip stitches!

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Sonia. Yes, it can do that if you constantly sew with glue on your projects. I only sew occasionally with the sticky back Velcro. Using iron-on fusible web when doing machine applique stitching can also do the same thing. I recommend cleaning the needle after use and cleaning your machine if using products with glue on it. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

      @@TheSewingRoomChannel I didn't mean to sound like I was criticizing you. My machine won't go through that sticky Velcro at all so I just wanted to let you know. Thank you for your prompt reply. I watch your videos all the time and I have learned a lot from you. Again, sorry if I sounded like I was being critical. czcams.com/video/vefpDSDvpPk/video.html

      Hi Sonia. Not to worry. I am glad you mentioned the issue of glue gumming up the sewing machine. It is viewers like you who help me be to be more detailed. I should have mentioned the potential problem. Please continue to keep me informed when I leave out important details. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

    Put the loop/soft side on the up side. The hook side will irritate your hand!
