BEST WAKE UP SONG EVER! i set this song on my alarm clock in the morning and the beat not only gently wakes u up but also gives u a good mood. I highly recomend trying it!

I remember when I first heard this song years ago when I was a teenager. These guys were just starting out, yet another no name indie band, yet so much better than almost anyone else on the scene in my mind. No song ever spoke to me so vividly as this one at that time. Seeing them win album of the year last night made me happier than the Grammy awards ever ought to.
saw these at reading festival, by far the best performance of the day. no question.
The last song I watched on youtube was Seven Nation Army, which has over 20 million views. The fact that this has so few nearly made me lose faith, but then I listened to it and my faith in humanity was restored.
This song Rocks!. Arcade fire has a frigging awesome sound. I appreciate new music. I am 51 and will continue to appreciate the new otherwise I'd be listening to "classic rock stations" : )

i was listening to this when i was flying over nyc , it was about 6 am in the morning...the day i came to the usa for the 1st time in my life...it's been almost 2 years already...my life has changed dramatically , so yeah, they basically rrepresent that second chapter in the history of my life .
They played this track last night for there last tour show here in Montreal in front of 80,000 people.... was simply amazing and free on top !!!

This violin took The Arcade Fire straight to the top of my favorite band list. And it never left since then.
It's been 6 years or so, and I am still not fed up of this song. This is a band I can truly say I've grown up with, and make me smile every time I listen to them. I saw them for the first time last summer, and I was so overwhelmed... they really are a special band, to me at least

I'm so glad I'm not crazy. I had this video on VHS and it was this version with the visual effects. When I recently went back to watch it I could only find the 'clean' version. Thought to myself, "Maybe the tape had degraded and created those effects. Or maybe I'm just loosing my mind". Even scrolled through the comment section of the other video to see if anyone had made the same observation to no avail. But here it is. P.s. this version is the superior one.

Back in 2005 i was a stupid teenager who didnt thin this was good, but now im 21 and grown up i realise what a work of art this is. I wish i knew good music when i heard it back then.

It is normal that some of the songs have similar chord progression, artists do, it is not a fault; their songs are still varied (chords, tempo, etc). It is all about being genuine, real genuine (not phony) music played from the heart. That what its all about!
Arcade Fire represents the continuity of real music. They truly believe in the fact that a record is a piece of art from the first to last song... Even if you don't like them, you have to appreciate what they've done for the integrity of the music industry.
