He's one of my favorite cops. My favorite episode was the one where a woman tried to buy a rock and a black woman sold her a piece of sheetrock or something. She approached Officer Maldonado and asked him to arrest the woman who ripped her off. And that lady was a show unto herself. "Don't come around here disrespecting my child." 😆

You're right. Every normal person would agree with you, BUT by law this cop couldn't do anything because he did not actually see any criminal activity. It's not against the law to sit in a car wearing just your underwear even in a presence of a child. We all know what was going on there, but the cop's hands were tied.

I feel bad for that child. Not trying to sound like a perv when I say that considering how many people in certain areas live, that I would not be surprised if the guy who was sitting in the back seat with his genitalia exposed to his ex, with her kid on her lap, that it was going to involve the child to either suck on him while she watched or for her to do that in front of her kid, which is NOT cool. If she was just stroking him in front of her child, well that is not proper either. Just having the child present while they play around is NOT cool. I do get what they mean about glorifying the police. It does look like such a glamorous job. Dealing with drug addicts and prostitutes. Worry about being shot every moment of every day. This was filmed years ago while they were building the Fort Worth mixmaster (the junction of I 35W and I 30) and several years before the 7Eleven, Jack in the Box, the Library, and Evans Plaza were built there on East Rosedale and 35W. That intersection has cleaned up a lot!

I understand that cop was probably right about the prostitution thing, but any attorney worth his salt would get that case killed. There is no proof any money changed hands and no proof that he actually solicited her. All he admitted to was the intent to solicit.

I think modern society makes it very easy for people with poor survival skills and critical thinking abilities to survive and breed; not talking to the cops is basic self preservation. I had a buddy of mine who was accused of assault, and he spent 2 hours trying to "explain himself" to a cop who came to his door one Sunday afternoon to follow up on a complaint by his gf a week after the supposed assault. There was no assault, and only very thin circumstantial evidence. By the time my friend got done, the police had a great case. My friend ended up pleading out, but still being convicted of a crime. If he would have stfu, he would have never been convicted. I told him the only reason cops ask questions is they need you to fill in the blanks; I'm like you, I don't help the cops fill in the blanks in their shit*y little mad libs.
